I'm just not a numbers person. I don't weigh food, check how much protein I'm getting etc.... I'm chasing the feeling and how my clothes fit. Im concerned about eating the right stuff drinking as much as my body wants eating what my body agrees with and getting in exercise that my body can take right now.

My mom bought me a Hidrate water bottle that flashes periodically throughout the day to remind me. It's pretty fun and I'm grateful for the reminder sometimes!

Week 3 I lost 0.5 pounds. I was kinda devastated at first, but then realize that it’s so normal. My dr says it’s because you have lost SO much before hand. You have to let your body catch up I suppose. This journey is a roller coaster ride for me in my 5 weeks so far. Lol. I am learning every single day, finally realizing when to stop eating when I feel “full”. It’s still hard for me to get in more than 3-4 ounces at a time. My mom made sugar free banana pudding for Christmas (my dad is diabetic), that was the first sweets I have had...my gosh it was fantastic. I ate a spoonful after Christmas lunch. Drinking is one of my biggest struggles as well! I am so glad you are doing so well! Can’t wait to see how you do in the future! I agree, I don’t think we have much choice to lose weight. Lol.

It's been such a crazy adjustment. My whole mindset around food is changing and it's so different than the way I've been living my life for 32 years. It's a big adjustment for sure! I've been experimenting with different foods and trying a few sweets, a bite of bread, etc. here and there to see how things go, but I'm finding I'm much happier and satisfied with lean proteins and some veggies. I think once I'm in the groove of things (and out of the holidays) I'll find myself leaning towards simpler, healthy, low-carb foods. But I still believe in moderation and so far it seems to be working okay!

I’m having weight loss surgery in March 2021. Not sure what type of surgery yet since I haven’t spoken to my surgeon yet. I have an appointment to speak with her this month in a couple of weeks. I just wanted to tell you that I’ve been enjoying your videos!You give out so much valuable information I have to take notes. I’m getting nervous since the surgery is getting so close and your videos are the best I’ve seen yet! So happy I found your channel!!🥰 Keep up the great work and God bless you❤️

I had gastric sleeve two weeks ago. My weigh in before surgery was 229. Now I'm at 218. I was 257 when I started my journey. We got this. My only thing was I'm allergic to milk and everything called for some type of milk for the protein shakes. SMH. That was a struggle. But I'm good now.

Yes, week 3 for me was soft foods. I was eating mostly cottage cheese, fish, oatmeal, eggs, yogurt, and soft vegetables like squash or well-cooked carrots.
