At first I thought Weird Al must be singing to a backing track, because the people in those costumes can't really be playing those instruments, and anyway, it looks like they're faking it and not really playing. But then that part where the bass cuts through happened, and it sounds like there's really people playing. So it made me wonder if maybe Al's real band is backstage or something playing the song while the spuds on stage are faking it and Al sings.

And they don't play their instruments very well either. I think they're just costumed dancers. But Al sure is is cute here.

I'm a little disappointed. I thought Al would have more stage shennanigans. Usually, he'll do more theaterical things than just stand there, and the potatoes would do more than stay in one place for such a production. I remember watching him on a late night award show performing Smells Like Nirvana for the first time. He's still amusing, of course. :-D

addicted to love is a horrible song. Addicted to Spuds is one of the greatest songs ever written. I think Robert Palmer should pay Al royalties, not the other way around.
