Interesting how this show was almost the same when it comes to songs performed and the order as his concert at Red Rocks Ampitheater in Morrison, Colorado (outside of Denver, Colorado) that I got to see which was part of the same tour as this show. Only difference here that I noticed after watching a few minutes is that he went into aisle near the audience and didn't leave the stage at the concert I went to.

The fact that his live show has pretty much never changed for decades except for which songs are included and he and his band still give this much enthusiasm every time is so impressive. And his band has been with him the whole time, they’ve never had a line up change, which proves he takes care of his people, not every rock star can say that

Traveled a long ways to Wenatchee (yes... ugh, really....) to be there. Weird Al put on the best concert I have ever seen. Best of all, the crowd was civilized, of course, civilized is what you would expect when the audience is mostly nerds and nose pickers (no... I'm not a nerd!). Just saw Brian Setzer a few months previous and Brians concerts are now much more refined, but nowhere near the caliber of what I saw in Wenatchee with Weird Al.

Anyone else here because of the rave review in the New York Times? It's a great read, www.nytimes.com/2020/04/09/magazine/weird-al-yankovic.html . Here is the paragraph that pushed me to search this out: _With an orchestra swelling behind him - the tour was called “Strings Attached” - he kicked into a soulful medley of 1980s parodies. If that does not sound great to you, if it in fact sounds like a very particular flavor of sonic hell, I am here to tell you something. Weird Al was absolutely belting. He was singing the bejesus out of this ridiculous music. I leaned back in my chair, reassessing core assumptions I had made about life. Was this somehow part of the joke - that Weird Al was an amazing singer? His voice was athletic and precise; he was rippling through intricate trills and runs. By the time he reached the medley’s climax - “Like a Surgeon,” his 1985 parody of Madonna’s “Like a Virgin” - Yankovic was stretching for high notes and holding them over his head for the crowd to admire, like an Olympic weight lifter who had just snatched 500 pounds._

What a master.... There are two types of masters on music. 1 Those who makes something new and catching that even makes people that don't like the type dance and sing alone. Eminem, Snoop2xG, BobMarley, Metalica, LP and many others 2 Those who makes covers or mods of hit songs that makes everyone remember were they came from but yet, make it like even more the base sounds and the modded even more. So much trash that tries to make new but faill big

I love ya Al, but this is far from the most overblown extravaganza you marketed it as. No polka, and no traditional medley. I get it…the length had to be cut for union rules and stuff. But there were only 6 costume changes in the entire show…I’m not trying to sound ungrateful or anything. Always great to see Al in concert, but Al’s concerts used to run over 2 hours with multiple constume changes. This just seemed scaled down compared to the Mandatory World Tour despite having an orchestra

First of all, sir madam or other, do keep your mouth shut. There is no place for your “oh, this thing is automatically bad because of one thing which is meant to ensure everyone’s health and safety” buffoonery. Second of all, keeping a large plastic fixture in front of the musicians was a common practice long before COVID. Why they do it, I don’t have the answer. But having been a church kid for the past sixteen years of my life I can attest to the fact that my brother (the drummer) is behind that cellophane wall every single Sunday. Third of all, this concert was approximately three years ago, so there was no health concern anyone was aware about at the time. So if you want to complain about the state of the world based on a video from three years ago, pop yourself a beer (or pop yourself in the mouth, since clearly neither of your hippie parents were mature enough to do it for you) and keep it to yourself. God bless you and your family :)
