In this video, I explore why weird desires and laziness are actually the driving force behind innovation in today's world. Some people think that all fundamental innovation has already happened. But I'm not convinced. Human needs haven't changed- food, sex, finding a fulfilling job, and hobbies that captivate us are still the same for our grandparents as they are for us. So to assume that the innovations that revolutionized our lives came from something other than weird desires would be wrong.
Weird desires and laziness drive innovation. And while we do still have the laziness part inside of us, I feel like most people don't have bizarre aspirations anymore. We hit a plateau, as we normally come up with ideas to satisfy our desires.

I have a lot of dumb ideas. I tend to write them down and then revisit them from time to time. Sometimes, the world and/or my own understanding of it has moved enough to where it can now be taken to a new place. If you’d like to talk, I’d love to hear from you.
Enjoy!
