Weko Beach in located in the City of Bridgman Michigan. It has a history tied to the the Warren Sand Dunes to the south which is now a State of Michigan Park and Preserve. The property started with a pavillion back in the 1920's serving up food and entertainment to tourists that mostly came from Chicago by private hosts that leased it from Lake Township.

After WWII the private hosts didn't renew their lease and moved on leaving the township continued to maintain operations there on a limited basis until selling the property to the City of Bridgman. More history is available by watching this video and pausing on the narrative later in this short video.
Chewie and I were camped on top of this dune with some really cool staircases and observation decks looking west over Lake Michigan and the Pavillion while providing some beautiful sunsets and quiet access to miles of sandy beaches along Warren Dunes State Park.
