Oh man, that is so good to learn. While I was in the Army, duty in Korea near the DMZ was not a good place to be stationed in.

Great video. But you forget some of the most important tips. When you're eating chicken on a stick n the Villa, don't just throw your stick on the ground. Break it in half first so Ajosshi can't pick them up and reuse them. And don't try to get in a soju drinking competition with PVT Kim, the Katusa stationed in your company.

This place cost the United States $11 billion dollars. They should have spent some of that money on new aircraft or ships, not swimming pools, bowling alleys, movie theaters, parks, recreation centers, and restaurants. Is this our tax dollars hard at work?

MOST of the $11 billion dollars construction cost was paid for by S. Korea. Not to mention almost half of the operating cost of USFK is also paid for by S Korea, such as fuel, civilian labor force, and on and on. Get your facts right.

Described as the U.S. military’s largest peacetime construction project, up to 93 percent of the $10.7 billion cost of Humphrey’s expansion is being paid by South Korea under the Special Measures Agreement, which comes in addition to more than $800 million in support of the U.S. military presence in South Korea in 2016, a 50-50 split with the United States, according to a USFK Public Affairs Office spokesperson. thediplomat.com/2017/11/camp-humphreys-the-story-behind-americas-biggest-overseas-base/

Whisper0ak. Before this base was built, US soldiers in S korea lived in utter shxx holes. Buildings that were built in 1950s and largely untouched. Sure sounds like a lot of money (large portion of it paid by S Korea anyway), but that is because of decades of NO investment in housing. infrastructure.

Whisper0ak so it's fine and dandy for you to have all the freedom and amenities you like but it's a problem when it comes to our soldiers having the same and equal quality of life.
