Wow, it's so different from when I went to school class of 94. Alot of great improvements. I can't even recognize it. Hats off to all the people who worked together to improve the school for future generations. 👏

interesting. I am not aware of the Vikings "MATAI" Chief name tho'.... I thought it was always Vikings "Toa o le Vasa".... ASCC is "Home of the Chiefs (Matai)"

It's not really as in chief mascot. They are using Matai there as sort of an explanation for the statue itself and what it means. I honestly don't know who put the statue up. The school has changed so much since I've graduated. Since the samoan culture is based on the Matai system, they called it a Viking Matai. The ASCC will always be the Chiefs. The Vikings has always been known as Toa O Le Vasa.

@@alfredkalapu ah I see now that made sense. The statue went up during the school 50th anni. I didn’t attend but I heard it was nice.
