They just wanted him to leave whether he was filming or not. They had no back up plan as to how to handle a visitor with the trainees there. When the trainees are not there, which is likely not often as they seem to be using the grounds for drills, they likely would not have descended upon AB as they did. They were exceedingly determined to remove him asap. I’ve seen this sort of thing when I’ve attended conferences and they are educating teachers on how to paddle children without being found criminally liable for harming children. These types of groups simply do not want outsiders to know what they really tell recruits about how to handle the public (not how to handle criminals but rather how to handle ANY of us). They just sampled how it’s done using AB as their target.

The police, as a public service, should not have vast, expensive estates like this, being paid at the publics expense. They could easily do their training much cheaper buildings. Police stations around the country are being closed, as are front desks with a yellow telephone outside instead. You don't even see bobbies on the beat anymore as, apparently, they don't have the cash to fund it. I wonder how many more public service estates like this are dotted around the country? Looks like corruption and living it up on the publics taxes is rife.

These were police instructors at the county headquarters, they are training a new generation of police officers on how to enforce the law. They don't have a copy of PACE on the premises, how can they refer to it? These instructors don't know the difference between private and public property and cannot conceive the idea of restricted public property, neither can the estate manager (who is responsible for signposting the site). How can any of these people be relied upon to train up new police officers? By welcoming the public and requiring them to visit reception they have made reception and the access route to reception a public place and therefore a place that can be legally recorded!

Police should have situational awareness and not give him the content . “Head of estate” acting like a child without knowing his rights , and rightfully will be fired for this

What can we do to make sure something happens? This is disgraceful. That twat who had the audacity to put his hands on a member of public was criminal!!!

Headquarters or not if you'd try to take a phone off a police officer I know exactly what would have happened. But seen it was one of their guys. Nothing happened. They just stood there like tins of milk?🤔🏴

So, the officers witness a civilian assault someone and instead of correcting him they do nothing

Did anyone notice the officer leaning his hand on the reception area (around the duration point 8.50) where his watch on his wrist is a button to press for assistance as seen the message and arrow pointing explains lol. But AB never pressed it.

I would hope they have a full module Called AB and how to deal with members of the public in a correct and professional manner as a public servant. This doesn’t mean they have to grovel and don’t deserve respect because of course they do and we need them and I certainly have a great deal of respect for most. But, chill and remember the correct behavior.

Those cops should have immediately restrained the guy who grabbed the camera. Police tend to struggle a basic level like this, often display intellectual shortness and a lack in self confidence. He then didn't have the confidence to identify properly and none of the cops actually dealt with the offender.
