Welcome to my personal growing review for “Dannahue” newly introduced by David Austin roses in 2023
this new release was in flower very early on this season, and in total produced no fewer than three flushes of flowers in a single season, this year I’m hoping it will be four
The blooms are a beautiful, rich apricot colour, tinged with an iridescent, sheen,, which reflects the light beautifully.
To go alongside the apricot flowers the shrub produces the most attractive, burgundy red growth tips as it comes into flower, the entire shrub changing colour as it matches forward to blooming
Even as a small, specimen, it’s capable of bearing, at least 100 flowers at once, by the end of the first season, it had already reached nearly 4 feet tall, I have chosen to plant mine in an incredibly large terracotta pot as per David Austin, instructions in dappled shade, where it receives just three or four hours of direct sunlight per day here it has performed really well,
If you love Royal Jubilee, Wollaton old Hall and have missed out on adding Jude the obscure to your rose collection. This is going to be the perfect addition for you out, performing them all on every aspect.
The fragrance is great, powerful yet clean it’s hybrid tea based with a fresh edge of green tea finnished with grapefruits and lemon zest,
Fragrance rating 7⭐️s
