Because, I think, there used to be (and still are in a large part of the world) people who teach in the name of a god that allows us only to fit and function in the established western system, a prison as I've come to see it, wherein the only strive is for big money and individual happiness. God hasn't showed him/herself to me yet, and untill that day I am only loyal to mother nature and the few humans not guilty of exploiting others, humans, flora and fauna alike. But those are ideals, I just hope that one day everybody on this earth has the chance to learn something actually valuable like this and become able to create themselves, instead of the neverending dependency on the real devil that is money and it's henchmen. I've had the privilege to learn the basics of this stuff on highschool but I'm very grateful for this man his lessons as well. Greetings from a Dutchman (26) and have a nice day!

I live near an art college, my gf took a class and paid cash 1300$ as she is a newer tattoo artist and was hoping to build on her skill set. After 5 weeks she asked for her $ back as the “instructor” never gave instruction and would leave the room for hours at a time, every class... just dialing it in... she was heartbroken. I'm not an artist. I'm just going through some stuff and am trying to release the pain. Someone told me that the some of the best art is an expression of pain or hurt, agony, or something along those lines. I should be creating something magnificent right now, with the pain I have, bottled up in me. I need to talk about this, maybe that will help. 2010, day after Christmas was when my 13 year old daughter disappeared. I looked for her for 2 1/2 years when her remains were found outside of town by a lake. It took until last month, over 10 years, to put the man responsible for this behind bars. When we all knew. If you made it this far I'm sorry to disappoint you. I need your prayers.

I was going to music school in Harlem, at CUNY. We had a substitute teacher that day that came in from Juliard, downtown. After class, i was telling her that i'm teaching myself perfect pitch, thru listening exercises. She laughed out loud. She thought i was in La La Land. Fifteen years later i've not only taught my students perfect pitch, i re-wrote the language of music, replacing note-names with individual color-shapes that i heard and saw in my head. Next i'm going teach music with the blind because the Blind-School in New Mexico, happens to be in the next town. This man, Myron Barnstone, IS teaching.

The golden section is not the ratio of all living thinks but the Fibonacci sequence can be seen in most plant ratios. So it’s better to have some understanding of good proportions then one knows if and why rules can be ignored. Good to to see somebody who should have double the time and money to do an important set of lessons. Teaching should never be rushed. Golden Section is aesthetically pleasing and simple to use so that’s been around for ages.

And when you discuss it in an art exam and have to do some drafts, did 5 different ones in each describing different geometrical patterns, shapes, spirals and the golden ratio, sure you get a "D", but every other one who just did a 1:1 copy (not a draft) got a "B" or better... The teacher was gay (really), I was the only male person in the class and I was always critecising him for his repetitive lectures. The page I made the first class literary described the next 10 "lessons"... Anyway not being in school anymore is soo good. Finally I can do whatever I want and learn whatever I like.

Please understand that the simple fact (not genius) at work here is a SIMPLE THING. Ready? Art is NOT "subjective." There IS right and wrong. Lazy, shiftless (and most prevalent) untalented practitioners rely on the tired, amateur bromides that "I do my own thing" or " I speak MY truth" and (and most annoyingly) "No one can judge my work except me." Meanwhile, those intent upon actually developing their craft (true artists) seek out the instruction and criticism of mentors who are both qualified and unafraid to dissect and correct their shortcomings. And they then apply humility and discipline to their study, unencumbered by unproductive notions of "personal statement." This view of competent art instruction is revealing...because of its rarity.

Assuming the atheists are correct, where did man get, derive, deduce, surmise, invent, the concept of "god, gods, goddesses" etc etc. Obviously the concept of "a god" and the plural "the gods" had to be conceptualized. Now, the answer is - nobody fucking knows. And you would think that such a monumental concept that has such monumental implications and monumental importance would be thoroughly recorded, dated, time stamped, documented, checked, rechecked, measured, scrutinized, questioned, rechecked again, redocumented, analyzed, digitized, and preserved to the end of the earth and the end of time. But, nope. Sorry to interrupt your black panther party.

Theres a Dopple ganger show with these two men that look identical.John is one guy and I can’t remember the other guys name. They are identical down to their life choices . This professor looks like the triplet of these two men. They are all very intelligent as well. These two men won a contest comparing all their features like real twins. Not important, but he reminded me of that show!

Phi is a unique number that represents a geometrical condition. When you say it is used here and there, it is hard to upscale it into a matrix of points on buildings without setting up other arbitrary rules about relational patterning, etc.... It is not necessarily the ultimate answer to everything, but is something to be aware of. I have heard of it being a result of consecutively generated reproduction units such as cells exhibiting that relationship.

I can tell you are a fantastic teacher. You remind me of a high school teacher I absorbed incredible amounts of invaluable information. Im a graphic designer specializing in branding, and I would happily pay for your full lecture on the golden section, as well as other drawing related topics I’m sure. Do you sell any material?
