The definition of a "Stock" blaster, of being a blaster that are out-of-the-box or plug-n-play without making any changes to its power output, need to be, or has been, redefined. "Stock" out-of-the-box blasters mostly flung darts or Rival HIR (high impact rounds) up to100FPS before DartZone made their Walmart exclusive "Adventure Force Tactical Strike" line, such as the Nexus and Aeon, and only a few months later, Target exclusive DartZone Max line - The Max Stryker. These blasters fling darts anywhere from 125 to 175 FPS out-of-the-box; without upgrading any of their parts. As far as I know, most clubs have now defined "Stock" blasters to fling darts or HIR at 100FPS or less, Super Stock caps off at 150FPS, and higher than 150FPS are classified as Modified - no matter their powerplant: HAMPs (High-Airflow-Manual-Plunger); Stringer; Springer; AEBs ({Non-flywheel} Automatic-Electronic-Blaster); Flywheelers; and HPAs (High-Pressure-Airflow). Always check what the FPS caps are of the event that you plan to attend with the people running it before the day of the event. You don't want to get there and find out that your blaster hits over the FPS cap or bring at least 3 blasters that are set to the different caps of the event: one that flings up to 100FPS; one around 150 or less; and one that's higher than 150FPS (not exceeding the cap if there is one, ie. 300FPS.) I hope this helps. Sorry if it was to wordy. Be safe and blessed. Yosh...

I was trying to keep it to bare basic info in this particular video since it was the introduction, but yes, I should have defined “stock” a bit better than just off the shelf. It’s why when mentioning the FPS and game caps, where things are defied better as a tier of what is considered what. Appreciate the expanded explanation.

I've been in the hobby for a number of years, I think somewhere around 15ish and the term I've used/heard for 150+ is ultra-stock.

@@TheGriever2112 I gotcha. No worries. I get it. This was an introduction and it need to be sweet and short and glaze over the heads of the audience you're trying to reach 😁. It's probably why I have not attempted to do this kind of intro myself, because it would have been too long and I probably would've lost more than half my viewers before I got to cover what needed to get covered. Fortunately, I have not been to an event where someone knowingly brings one of the of-the-shelf AFPro/DZMax blastres and tries to pass it off as stock, which technically, they're not wrong, since they haven't modded any parts of it; but don't be like that (meaning others that have, not you, 😆) and have some common sense and decency not to hose little kids, that are going to more likely be participating in those low fps stock rounds. Thanks again for doing this and hopefully The World Foam Alliance (WFA) will be the new NerfHaven 2.0 (but a 1000% better the Nerf Elite 2.0 counterpart in this analogy😄) as we forge through to the future of BlasterTag, FoamDart Blasting, Foam Flinging Fun For Everyone (my tag line 😁), etc. Be safe and blessed. @@scottjs5207 I’ve heard the term, but it’s not one I hear very often to be honest. But I like that for high end out of box stuff.

4:50 The X-Shot Longshot Pro and the new X-Shot Wafflehead darts kinda puts X-Shot into hobby standards but good to mention the older ammo X-Shot has since kids will probably still have it in circulation lol 11:09 Excellently put! You don't need "Performance" Blasters to go to your first Nerf/Foam War. You just need to show up! :D 25:04 Well said! Gatekeepers are everywhere and they almost put me out of the hobby when I was starting out glad I persevered! Great video so far looking forward to more. Also been in the hobby since 2009 got serious about in 2016 when I went to my NvZ before it was changed to Endwar haha

I did put the note we did record this before the Longshot was released. I think in a later episode we do discuss it, as it was recorded after it came out. So I’ll go more in depth on it then

Awesome video. I'm sure most of us can relate to it. Most of also probably started out the same way. We discovered a war. Bought a stock blaster from Walmart/Target, and showed up to a war with it. And then within a few minutes you realized your balster is under powered. So after the event you have a choice to make Give up, or mod your blaster to get better FPS and reliability.

That or refine your play style to either fit what is on the field or maybe find a lower power group. Beauty of the hobby is you have options.

Very good idea with an intro series. Question. Have you ever done a WarFrame Bolter build? Esthetically I like it more than the 40K one.

Thank you. No I have not, it’s been a while since I’ve played WarFrame… but now I’m curious and want to look into it.
