Author Douglas Murray has discussed the recent ban on Pride flags in a small city in Michigan.
The all-Muslim council in Hamtramck voted in July to restrict the town from flying any religious, ethnic, racial, political, or sexual orientation group flags on council property, causing tension between the LGBTQ-plus community and socially conservative Muslims.
“It's plain as anything that the Muslim world does not adore homosexuality,” he told Sky News host Caleb Bond.
“All the studies show that, and even when Muslims come to Western countries, it doesn’t mean they get straight in line with the LGBTIQ plus agenda in particular.
“And as I say, the rather plaintive cries of a local gay activist who said, "Hay, we supported the Muslims when they came into our town. How come they're not supporting us?
"Umm, well, all one can say is, 'Welcome to the real world, darling.'"
