I completely agree with you. I'd watch a show with her as the presenter. Plus, I'd watch almost any art history show with anyone presenting.

Thank you for sharing an overview of this incredible exhibit. What most people don’t know, is that in the motion picture industry, there are storyboards to illustrate each and every scene to graph & document the exact position & perspective the director / wants for each camera shot. Those were very similar to the illustrative type story telling we see from these Japanese artists who have mastered dynamic line drawing for story telling. Quite amazing !! Thank you for hosting this exhibit. 🤩

This is really interesting. Most people associate manga with stereotypical otaku culture but don't see the historical and artistic value of these works.

I saw a bunch of snobby comments on the previous manga video, and I was very disappointed. There is a certain type of barely-educated adult who thinks they are the harbingers of knowledge even though they barely made it through school. I wrote a paper in my art history class about the American tv series "Batman" (with Adam West) and how the Pop Art movement influenced the design of the show. Just because art is highly accessible to the public doesn't mean it's not an academic subject worth academic review. Don't be a snob. It just makes you look like an idiot.

@gabriel anderson What has gatekeeping got to do with the fella's comment? There's nothing wrong with being elitist about your hobby, keeps the casuals that are not really interested away.
@golDroger88

@gabriel anderson Yeah, so? As I said elitism is good for a hobby. People who don't put effort into it aren't really interested. Every hobby that openly accepts people that don't put any effort into it are destroyed.

I saw the exhibition on the last day. It was very late on the 25th and I realized I still had not visited and that the 26th was going to be the very last day. I ended up taking a few energy drinks and spending 2 hours on the train into London to see it. I'm very glad I visited even though I was exhausted from lack of sleep afterwards. x( I certainly hope that there will be another exhibition like it in the future.
