This video are types of symbol used by welding workshop, types of code and symbol position of the symbol F code G code. Most blueprints for a welding project heavily peppered with them. The skeleton of a welding symbol has an arrow, a leader line (attached to the arrow), a horizontal reference line, a tail, and a weld symbol (not to be confused with welding symbol, which refers to the whole thing. The welding symbol has an arrow, which points to the location on the drawing where a weld is required. The arrow is attached to a leader line that intersects with a horizontal reference line. Finally, there's a tail at the opposite end of the reference line that forks off in two directions.Basic welding positions are of 4 types which are Flat position, Horizontal position, Vertical position and overhead position. For fillet weld it is named as 1F (1 means the flat position and F means the fillet weld) and for Groove weld it is named as 1G ( 1 means the Flat welding and G means the groove weld).
4 Basic Welding Positions
1. Flat Position (1G and 1F) The easiest type to perform is the flat
2. Horizontal Position (2G and 2F) This is an out of position welding position.
3. Vertical Position (3F and 3G)
4. Overhead Position.
What Are The 4 Different Types of Welding Processes?
1. Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG) ...
2. Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) ...
3. Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) ...
4. Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) ...
