Great vids totally love it. Just want to let you know four cities are in the Wellington region. Wellington City, Lower Hutt City, Upper Hutt City and Porirua City . They are all with in a 45 minute max car drive to each other . If you get the chance head over the hill and visit the Waiarapa and try some of the wines from the local vineyards. FYI Wellington is the windest city in the world hence its nickname Windy Wellington.

Have just watched your video of your visit to Picton and followed on with the Cook Strait crossing to Wellington. Have just watched the first of your Wellington vids and I have to say , being a Wellingtonian since 1972, I am amazed at the amount of walking you do. I used to do that when I was a 20+ year old. It's a lovely city and it has many nooks and crannies and many other sides to it. It is actually a very large area. You certainly nailed the weather on your visit. I never intended to stay here, but 50 years later I'm still here .. that's got to say something for the place. I love the personal aspects you give freely, it helps to remind me why I belong here. You have given me something special ... a sense of place .. thank you so much for sharing. Enjoy your safe travels and love to you and your family.

But the problem is that the 3rd wave will arrive around September in which children are also vulnerable to this killer virus. I am also a kid (13yrs) so I am also scared. I hope that kids will also get vaccinated in the future. Let's hope for the best. Stay Positive and Have a great day❤

After the previous video, I was thinking that Wellington might be a great place to live with the homes elevated above the harbor and the great views. Learning about the fault line and chance of a big earth quake in the future, I changed my mind. I think I will visit and take lots of pictures, but not risk that maybe the waterfront will change once again. Great video as usual.

Hi there. I always try to visit Zealandia at Kaka feeding time. You can get quite close. Cuba St has only taken on the Latin theme in recent years. The Bucket Fountain dates from 1969 when a section of the street was pedestrianized. Elisha Wood was not impressed with it. You can google that. The rock you can see is the biggest Island of Island Bay. The fishing boats are a remnant of the mostly Italians who settled there. (I am corrected below) At 11:37 you pointed to the wrong hill. The drone footage that follows is from the hill, left of screen, where the larger tuft of cloud is. They both have communication masts. On the drone shot the place you are pointing from can be located a quarter of the way across from the left edge. You are by the marina. There is a large black block of a building nearer the center of the drone view which passes behind the statue's head in the next footage. At 12:06 is one of the worlds last floating cranes. You have to drink a Flat White in a porcelain cup. Nothing tastes good in paper except fish n' chips. At least with the lid off not sucked through a hole. Quay is pronounced 'key'. At 15:16 you can see the Beehive against the hill. Easy to miss. If you look on a map you'll notice almost every street running parallel to Lampton Quay is also a quay because each in turn was a wooden quay where ships tied up. After the earthquake created shallows they filled it in one quay at a time. So Lower Hutt didn't have a lot to offer. I'm from LH but I live in Chch. Some nice bush walks and a river cycle trail. The Eastern Bays are great, I miss them. There are very nice bush walks on the hills. You can also hire a bike at the end of the road and cycle out to the light houses and a wetland. People should look for regional park maps or google Wellington regional trails. Along the ridge is good and the walk to Butterfly Creek. The climb up - not so much. The private funicular rails have keys and or passwords so people can't joyride. You cut the shot at 23:28 just as you were approaching the much admired house of an architect. The cable cars back before they changed about 1981 had seats outside along the middle section - and no belts. Much more fun as a kid. Miramar is Spanish. Mira = look/see, mar = sea/ocean, which is exactly what you do. I'm going up to see my mum in the near future. It's good to see things you know through the eyes of others. Quite a nice place, I can't wait now. Thanks.
