I’ve been waiting for this! I’m digging those PB Swiss ratcheting drivers you got as well. Looking forward to the head to heads

Thank you! I have been wondering about that driver and have it sitting in my shopping cart (not that it’s available). I have the non-ratcheting stubby and find it fits oddly in my hand. not my favorite. And making it fatter would seem to make it worse. But we’ll see. My KC order for a mini plier wrench should be here soon!

Really hard to unseat the PB Swiss for me. Other than it being a little longer I just like it better. The ratcheting, the storage, all of it 😅

Nice review of another quality item from Wera. I don't use stubby ratchet drivers personally, but good to now they are out there.

Interesting ! I’ve been wanting to try one , the fat handle could equal more torque in a tight spot ! I kinda like the idea of the tilt a whirl magazine ! Right now , I’m using the same PB Swiss driver you showed in the vid . I found the PB Ratcheting iteration a tad bit long sometimes ( a long stubby is kinda like a football bat ) . I always schlep a Stubby , both for work , and EDC , worn on the left , just ahead of the hip bone , the lanyard of my “ Shove Driver “ is attached to the stubby pouch .

One thing I do with my multibit drivers ; I usually replace the stock bits with Milwaukee Impact rated bits , that way I can share ammo with my impacts , and drill drivers . I have a bit holder for weird and wonderfull , and industry specific bits . Owning stubbies should be mandatory for all Handymen , Techs , and Tradesmen . Failure to own stubbies = picking your own pocket !

This is true! That’s a great idea too, I need to get a bunch of those added into mine. I’m not sure what the C6 bits from PB are rated?

@@MillisConstruction If they don’t say anything , they most probably aren’t ! PB is very good at answering questions , shoot them an email ! I once had a query about lubing their ratchets , a very nice , Herr Dr. Engineer got back to me and told me their ratchets are sealed units and never need lubrication !

Hi, I have been enjoying your videos, have you got the really big knipex bolt cutters? I think that they are 910mm. I'd like to see you do a review of them.

How is the wobble. I haven’t really like the Wera multi drivers, there is just too much wobble for my liking… the regular ratcheting, the regular w/ rapidapter & the extendable w/ rapidapter. I havent tried the stubby or the long ratcheting w/o rapidapter.
@MillisConstruction
2 жыл бұрын
I have to agree, since using the Pb Swiss multi drivers it’s hard to go back to the Wera with the wobbly tips. This one the bit goes right in the transmission so unless you used a long bit I doubt you’d have any. It’s a lot shorter than the PB ratchet stubby too which may give the edge to the Wera there. I’ll be honest and say though, if the PB fits in the spot Im using the PB 😅

@@MillisConstruction Hey, thanks! Do you happen to have the long ratching Wera w/magnetic bit connection? How is the wobble compared to the ones with the rapidapter?
@MillisConstruction
2 жыл бұрын
@@BLASTIC0 I don’t think I’ve tried them side by side. I do have both. I’ll get them out and check. The ratcheting Wera does have wobble and I think I mentioned it in a comparison video I did recently. Here’s a link for you to that kzitem.info/news/bejne/kn-I36p8nXqLiGk

If the shaft was removable on the bigger one and could fit in an impact it would be perfect. I have a klein 14 in 1 that does that, but the bit holder in it sucks.
@MillisConstruction

Yes it would. It’s unfortunate the ratcheting one doesn’t. They have a non ratcheting one that does though.

I love the stubby bitholder Wiha makes. This one could be very similar in feel but better as it can ratchet. Otherwise Wera is not as comfy in my hands. I'll try them out. Thanks! Regards, Etna.

Were for longevity, Whia for ergonomics. Pretty much how Australian Electricians, Data and Security people see their tools. And Bahco for the inbetween.

@@mitchhifi9192 I don't see Bahco as in between. Either they make really really nice stuff. (Mostly what is made in Germany and Sweden.) Or it belongs directly in the bin like their spanisch screwdrivers. It seems always to be a hit or miss thing when I buy Bahco personally. Regards, Etna.

I can remove the clickety sound with 3 Q-tips (6 lil cotton balls) but the real problem is that it's rather bigger than the Wiha (although it includes ratcheting and is actually cheaper than Wiha).

The ratcheting ability in a stubby is so nice. Especially for the tight spots that stubbies get used in mostly

the problem with it is that the handle has no corrugations or flutes. It is smooth and round. So, when you turn something tight, you can slip. It is not terrible. But it would be better if the handle had some shape to it that you could grip. PB Swiss one (8453.R-30) has the flutes on the handle. Also, Facom (ATCL.S) seems to be nice. It has some shape to the handle, it's not just round.
