All the Wera ratchets have their place ! The Zyclops mini ( baby one ) is quite handy for screwruning and tight spots ! My fave . Ratchet is the 1/4” drive , pivoting head ratchet , Millis Construction turned me on to it , very useful indeed !

I have the Wiha version of the mini ratchet. You can't get much leverage on it, but it is handy for budging a screw that is to tight for a screwdriver, or for access into awkward spots, but it isn't intended to replace a standard 1/4" drive ratchet. I keep looking at their slimline ratchets, I only have th adjustable head Zyklop ratchets from Wera.

1/4" ratchets are required by norm to withstand 62Nm of torque. So having a little bit more leverage can be heplful. Although I'm not a huge fan of non-servicable ratchets like this one. Hazet states a maximum of 120Nm for their HiPer 1/4" square (and 1/4" hex bit) model. Perfect for those who want to tighten their lug nuts with a 1/4" ratchet I guess :)

Nice video. I'm also looking at this set, the bigger handle seems a lot better than the tool check one, especially if you mainly want to use it as a ratchet not a screwdriver. Is there also a version of this set that doesn't have the screwdriver bits?

Finally somebody points this out. I’ve been scratching my head on toolcheck+ or 1/4 zyklop thinking why? I,m building out a motorbike kit so size/weight is a consideration but I don’t think the zyklop 1/4 is too big for a bike kit?

I use that Zyklop ratchet set, great bit of kit. Always in my tool bag.

Yes it is,.the Toolcheck plus handle/ratchet seems like a gimmick. But I'm not slating it just think a few more people would benefit from the Wera Zyklop set

I chose the Wera 1/4 set (with the adjustable head) over the tool check plus. I honestly never use it as a screwdriver because the handle size. It's a handy piece of kit and to use it as a 1/4 ratchet I have no complaints

Totally agree the tool check plus just isn't as good as I've heard and when I actually seen it I wasn't impressed either. I no the ratchet you mean very nice multi positional

I currently carry a Tool-Check plus “ Franken Kit “ . Basically an Imperial kit , with a small nylon zipper bag attached to it . The Zipperbag contains 5.5-13mm sockets , posidrive , and a few oddments and redundant stuff , the Imperial kit is only mildly bodged( the baby 1/4” hex driver/ clips have been removed ) . I always have at least a ratcheting stubby 1/4” hex driver , terminal drivers ( 1/8” , and #1 philips ) ,and a 1/4 hex magazine stubby on my compact belt holster . Gets me out of most issues , without getting into the big kit !
