Oh my Mercy that host was a hot mess. You really have to be careful who you have mc your program because THEY set the atmosphere for the entire service. Nomatter how good and anointed the guest were he managed to pour cold water on the atmosphere with his foolery.after every performance. I think he was sent on an assignment from HELL to detour the saints from receiving what God had for them. Couldn't nobody stay on track with satan popping up after every set.😈😠😡😤

Normally I do not comment on videos, however, there are exceptions. The MC was unnecessary because he was telling jokes. Telling jokes doesn't set an atmosphere for the holy ghost to move. Case in point, Jessica Ready was so uncomfortable she found it difficult to minister. It was because the atmosphere was not conducive to worship and deliverance. The church needs to pray before every program they endeavor to deliver because souls are at stake!!! If the church wants to entertain then they need to have this in another location--not in the church! Her background singers weren't tuned into the FLOW of the Holy Spirit either. You'd be surprised how in today's world the Church is desensitized to the movement of God! People don't know recognize The Spirit of the Living God. No wonder the bible speaks of a great falling away...Let's pray for the church everywhere, but most importantly that God help our soul to be right!

I found the issue with Jessica Ready and her group was the fact that the song was VERY difficult to even pick up. They couldn't tell where she was going and I KNOW West Angles musicians are as good as they come. As a musician, it was doggone near impossible to find where the melody picked up and moved. Paired with the fact that the tempo was all over the place in the beginning. They legitimately couldn't come in until the band established a beat, not the singers. She actually needed the band because the background singers were coming in very inconsistently and her timing was way off. That song was a disaster onstage before the band picked it up. She has a wonderful voice, but there are musical factors such as phrasing, timing, and clarity of song that make a big difference when asking musicians to pick up an unknown song on stage. I think they did the best they could as soon as they could. In my opinion, the way the song started off likely added to her feelings of being uncomfortable on stage. On another note, the MC should be fired immediately from any further engagements. He was totally out of line on numerous occasions.

TkBrina I personally thought Jessica did a great job! I really appreciated her being REAL! She picked up on the atmosphere of the house, and she called it out. I feel her 100%! God has truly blessed her and anointed her to destroy yokes; that's why she so successful! She doesn't compromise! I love it! We need more of that in the "Gospel Music" world! Now we don't know what went down prior concerning the track/band/singers, but she wasn't comfortable with what they were/weren't doing. As the artist, she has the right to make her set the way she wants it. Clearly there was a house band and house singers, and their was a disconnect, but God still gets the glory!

buboat She can definitely sing, but the band didn't know the song and couldn't establish what she was doing for a solid minute plus when she started singing. That certainly didn't help whatever else was going on with her as far as how she felt about the atmosphere. I've played many a time when the house band picked up a KNOWN song and couldn't get into the groove until a verse or a hook later. I'm saying that from a pure musical outlook, the song lacked transparency, structure, phrasing, and timing until the band picked it up. It was at that point where it gained some continuity. So the performance definitely got better as it went along. Starting out in this fashion has to be nerve racking for anyone. I also felt that she unintentionally insulted the musicians by saying "don't play it until you feel it." They were TRYING! They had never heard the song! The background singers had already heard the song and had established lyrics. It takes a full band longer to pick up an unknown song than the singer who wrote it! Lol. But it's all good. Musicians are used to being thrown under the bus and blamed when the song doesn't go right! Lol. No love lost with Jessica. As I said, she has great talent, but I also think it's important to understand what you as a singer is asking the band to do. West Angeles musicians are top of the line so we aren't talking about your average church musicians. These cats are on another level. Picking up an unknown song on stage, I'm sure, is at the bottom of every band's list. All in all, I'm glad it worked out for her because singing acapella for an entire song isn't fun either. I think it was evident how her communication changed with the band as her set went on. She ASKED the band if they knew "Flow" on the next go-round. That was very appropriate. Had she done similarly in the beginning by just WARNING the band (lol), "Hey, this is just a little something I wrote so just work with me..." or "I'm not sure if you've heard this but if you could try to pick it up when you can..." Things like this make a BIG difference on stage because many times, singers simply EXPECT the band to know whatever they are doing and then get upset when the band can't determine what they're doing. So she definitely got it right the second time by asking and communicating with the band.

TkBrina well, if she actually showed up to the rehearsals that they had for her set, this wouldn't have happened. I was there that night. I was not even playing and I was low-key offended at the fact that she did that. If she wanted her song a certain way, then she should've came to the rehearsals instead of being "Hollywood" and assuming that everything is gonna be fine. Im just saying.
