We landed in New Zealand a few days before a scheduled helicopter flight to West Coast tahr block, and then weather set in, delaying the flight another two days. With 4 days to spare and not much else to do, we headed to the property where Joe works as a guide and content creator to see if we could find a deer. The first evening we spotted a nice red deer with double drop tines Jaime was interested in. When we relocated the stag the following day, it was accompanied by a wild(ish) stag that Chase wanted. Jaime was first up, using the new Sig Sauer Cross Sawtooth to deliver a shot directly to the shoulder. Quickly swapping places, Chase jumped behind the gun as the non-farm bred stag tried to escape up the hill.
