The start of last season began in a similar fashion to how the previous season had ended, with a local hunt conspiring with a local police force in an attempt to put us out of action and prevent us from stopping illegal hunting. Both police and local hunts continue to underestimate us and thanks to support from the Hunt Saboteurs Association and Peterborough Sabs we didn’t miss a days sabbing.
After this we hit back as hard as possible and completely turned things around. We sabbed as many meets of the Warwickshire Hunt as possible with convicted criminal huntsman Will Goffe begging us to leave him alone whilst having a temper tantrum in the middle of the road on the way to a cub hunting meet.
Their opening meet was completely wrecked when sab groups from around the country joined us to stop them hunting (thanks to all the groups who came). By Christmas we had turned things round to such an extent that it was the Warwickshire Hunt who now found themselves in trouble with the police for arrogantly taking over public roads and using them as their own personal playgrounds. Something we have been highlighting for a number of years now. Warwickshire Police served them with a Community Protection Notice requiring them to inform them of the location of all hunt meets and all roads they intend to cross. The Warwickshire appealed this straight away however this organised crime gang will finally be up in court on the 15th and 17th of August in Birmingham. If it goes against them then that’s their season wrecked before it’s even started.
Our Season finished in a similar fashion to how the previous season ended by successfully suing a corrupt police force, this time Thames Valley Police after they conspired with the Warwickshire Hunt and Warwickshire Beagles who made false allegations against us. We can only assume that the Beagles and or the Warwickshire Hunt placed a tracker on Warwickshire Beagle hunt master Ed Law’s vehicle and then accused us of doing so. Thames Valley Police were forced to settle out of court. Hopefully that will teach them not to automatically act on the word of organised criminals despite having absolutely no evidence.
With the Warwickshire Hunt up in court, a huge payout from the police and another one to look forward to, we have no intentions of backing down now. Despite their arrogance and air of being above everyone else (including other hunts) the Warwickshire Hunt have made all the same mistakes that the Atherstone Hunt made. If you threaten and use violence against us we’ll latch on and not let go. See you next season
