Thanks for the video. Pretty simple to understand after watching this.

I’m EXTREMELY happy with my WCS gauge. It’s some sort of really good steel that doesn’t have ANY sort of tendency for succumbing to the detrimental effects of any kind of file use that’s a must when using a tool like this. That bluing is only for the tools rust protection but even then it’s just not something that I think about and here’s why: I keep mine in my wallet in one of the easily accessible credit card slots. While I keep my wallet on my person constantly even though in the summer here in Arkansas on 100*+ days, it doesn’t take long to become completely drenched in very salty sweat. Well, that sweat is going to make it to your wallet and saturate it fairly completely to the point of if you need to pull out some cash then it’s going to be fairly wet. Now, if that sweat can get to your cash then it’s a fairly good chance that it’s getting through to everything else in the wallet. The poi is that my WCS depth gauge tool doesn’t seem to rust even though it’s constantly exposed to a salty water environment. I’m only filing on one side but even then, salty water has a tendency to rust steel FAST! It never wears, it never rust. It’s flexible (ok, I DON’T like that) so whatever Gordy and his team came up with, me likey 😊!!!

About to order a few. I use (for apparently no good reason I can justify) a .325, 3/8, and a .404 ... this would be a progressive gauge, right? It's measuring the angle not the depth so much?

The WCS website tutorial mentions the “left and right side rakers” in the process of adjusting. Unless I’m missing something, it sounds like you do not concern yourself with left/right sides. ?
