@@rtristan8572 I agree with you on one point. Our governments did indeed prohibit schools to teach local languages but I think you're missing a point. They did it for a practical reason first. You must understand that these minorities who were part of France mostly didn't speak a word of French so it was really complicated to make them follow laws that they didn't even understand. The were forced to learn French in schools to bring unity throughout the country but it didn't kill their culture at all. Some of these languages like Bask and Occitan are still taught in schools nowadays. And even if they are not, people who speaks these dialects still passes them to their sons and daughters. And cultural genocide wtf? If you go to Brittany, Bask country, Corsica or any of the others minorities that you speak about, you will see that their traditions are still actual. Most of the world known French Cuisine are from these regions. If you speak to the locals, they will identify as two things : French and *insert local identity*. Their culture weren't killed they were made part of France's and are still living in their heart today. You can blame lot of things on my ancestors like the genocide of Protestants, some of the colonies and the collaboration of the official (and I said official because most of french didn't support them) French government with Nazis during WW2. As an Irish person, I can confirm that this is very true, and funnily enough, the one with brexit is also true, because whenever I order something, I have to get it from like the USA, Japan etc. Whereas if brexit didn't exist, I could've got it from the UK, and the UK are probably making a big loss (Chill on the replies, I never said the UK was doing bad)

There are 2 reasons for why this is true, and there are no doors in spanish houses. 1st. all doors got destroyed in the massive 2013 uprising when the government tried to outlaw siestas. 2nd. now we just have to open our windows to have a nice little breeze for those summer nights.
