Another great lesson - a great lesson on how to play this solo in addition to a great history lesson. Keep doing what you're doing and keeping the great old school music that opened the doors for rock and roll alive. The guitar world owes you a debt of gratitude.

Hi Michael. The flooding is south of me and on the other coast. I saw some news footage that looked really bad. It had to be awful for those residents. Where I live we are in a sort of drought. My lawn could definitely use some rain.

You’re such a good guitarist! Ive tride to keep up with this blazing solio. Every turn are squealing tire :). Every chord cbange …the soloing shifts to wild arpeggios on the changes. Your vibe is sweet sweet sweet. Really very nice :)

Thank you for the kind words. Juniors playing can be tough but I think you can nail this solo with some practice. Take it slowly phrase by phrase if you need to. Junior was so good and he played so fast and flawlessly. Learning his solos certainly keeps me on my toes. Cheers :)

Howdy from Alabama :D Two items: 1) Thank you for all the great videos you've provided; they are proving to be a great source of learning and inspiration! 2) QUESTIONS! I am making the move to electric from acoustic (which I play badly), and have about settled on a semi-hollow or hollow-body guitar. I'm torn between going for a 335-style with humbuckers- or P90's are available, too- OR going for a hollow-body 'jazzbox' as in the start of this video (although I'm low-budget so the Grote/Redid clone is more my speed). I very much enjoy Southern Blues, with my primary inspirations being RL Burnside and Fred McDowell in that genre, and that's the style I am most interested in learning. And this is where *you* come in, if I may pick your brain for a moment. Which way to go? Semi-hollow with humbugs or P90's... or a single P90 archtop hollow? I'm not all about pedals or effects at this point, so I'm looking to get the most use out the guitar itself. I'm by no means a rich man, and I'm not getting any younger- I just turned 60, yay me :D so this may very well be my one shot at getting it right. If you were in my position, with no shadowy rich uncle to help out, which would be your choice? // I know it's a lot to cram into one post, but I thank you for your time and consideration and any advice/words of wisdom/warning to run for my life you are willing to provide. And, if you've got any hot tips on cheap guitars, feel free to throw a few my way so I get a good deal !! Again, thanks for your great work; have a great week! - JS, B'ham

Thank you for another wonderful lesson. Quick question: How do you keep your t-shirts so bright without fading?
@Damianblf
Жыл бұрын
Not really sure lol. But honestly most of the shirts I wear are about 10 or 15 years old. All of my shirts from the late 80s and 90s are either lost or way to small for me.

This was great!!! 👍👍👍 Would you make a lesson of Warren Smith’s Ubangi Stomp. YT is full of Stray Cats’s version of it, but it goes in minor key and original goes in major. Dunno who’s in guitar at Warren’s version but it’s great💪😎💪 and I really would like to learn it.
