Can I still employ my own rules that violates Westgard rules and still be permitted? In other words, if my own lab rules are in contrast with Westgard rules, will I still be correct in defining "bias" on my control charts?

The Westgard rules are mainly used for guidance. They are not a requirement. If you use your own rules you should have some technical justification or risk-based approach. For example you may decide that in your process one of the rules is not critical or can be extended. However your starting point might still be Westgard rules and you modify the approach based on your own system requirements. As long as it makes technical/statistical sense/logical to the system.
