As a Brit living in Los Angeles now it simultaneously kills me and thrills me to see some of those toys on those dealers’ stalls! “Want! Want! Want! How much, that’s so cheap?!” Also, regards credit cards, they must be crazy to not take them! Understandable they wouldn’t want to take a card on a £1 sale, but they’d be smart to have a £10 minimum for card purchases to make it worth their while

Totally agree Marc, there were certainly bargains to be had. Some dealers did offer card payment but not many tbh. They are definitely losing sales bec of it but for some, it is just a hobby. Glad you enjoyed the video 🙂

Love your great comments through the video. Diecast and trains just put me off to this one in exeter. Going the NEC next Sunday . That has a better selection of 80's to modern toys.

Understood my friend. I wish I could get to the NEC for a toy fair, it's been years! The stuff that was there in the 90's, lol🙂👍

It was very nice to see some lovely vintage toys and cars from my childhood there! Especially that The Saint (Simon Templar) white Jaguar with the logo on the bonnet!! I loved that car as a kid. There really were some fantastic items in that Toy Fair Jules! Thanks for sharing with us!

Thanks Marc, my pleasure mate! There was a little Star Wars, both vintage and modern but not much. Sadly, slim pickings round here! The Saint car is lovely. Recently reissued through the Corgi Collectors Club over here. They did a great job. Hope you're well and we can talk on your show soon👍🙂

Fantastic vid as always Jules. Definitely spotted some lovely stuff on a few of the stalls, but overall I'd concur with the slight lack of variety available. Keep up the superb work mate 🙂👍

Better than the Lego one for sure! I don’t usually comment but I’ve been watching these since the gba video and the quality of your content is just superb.

Thanks. My friend! Yes, much better than the Lego show which was really a victim of it's own success 🙂👍

Oh Thunder Birds , Dr Who , Cricket at Lords ? Me think the too high prices and the lack of card machine may have harm sales . Look like there was some good stuff and deals for thoes who had the patience to dig in the boxes/ bins . I think for some dealers its more a hobby and an act of love . Glad you got Mouse Trap . I like stalls to be neat and organize...but truth be told i do enjoying digging around in bins..toy bins .Thanks for the trip . Till next time stay safe my friend. And yes....to dealers/ merchants have card machines . Safer than cash

All good points Sylvan! We are planning a game of Mouse Trap soon. The show really wasn't bad, just not quite up to previous shows.

The vendors just taking cash are trying to get around the tax man. 😂 Another great video Jules. I saw the little steam engines close to the end of the video and I always wanted one. Kinda figured it would be fun for a minute then most likely I'd be saying, " Why the hell did I waste 50 bucks on this ?" But still I wanted one. 😁 Hope your next fair has more items you really want. Still a nice day . 👍🤠❤️

Thanks Alvin, yes, it's probably a tax dodge but I do appreciate that for many selling at shows is just a hobby. It's fine, that's their right. Although not that much on display this time, the shows do vary, so fingers crossed for more goodies at the next one.👍

Got to disagree with you why go to a toy fair with a card ? cash is always accepted at these fairs most stall holders do this part time .
@JulesBurt

I took cash as I know what to expect at these fairs, however, for about £20 you can set yourself up to accept card payments. I know many of these dealers are just doing it as a hobby and not running a business, but certainly not all. I should have pointed out that there is a cash machine just outside the hall as well.
