Lucas and Cindel demonstrate great focus and determination on a project that turns out to be more challenging than anticipated. Good job!

I'm happy to see this video. My granddaughter just asked me to help her make a geode and that's something that I haven't tried. Not sure if she has a kit or is free-wheeling it. It seems like it would be easier to wet felt it in layers and add color as the layers below come together...

I am so glad you found this video. I hope it helps and you should definitely try Felting a Geode. This was such a fun experiment to do with someone. I would start with the Center colors and build from there. Have fun and Happy Felting🌬️❄️🌲🤍

@@SnowflakeForestFelting A couple other hints I found...It works much better with roving than it does with tops. Put the balls in a nylon stocking for the throwing phase. When the kids get sick of doing it, throw them into the dryer on air dry with something clunky, like clean tennis shoes, to finish felting. A couple of folks cut them open while they were wet with a knife and that seemed to work well. I'm going to take it up a notch and felt the geodes around mini tennis balls (wrapped in cellophane) so that I can fill the insides with sparkly beads and such.

@@flamingomtn Thank you so much for sharing. I agree, nylons are the way to go. I use those when I felt soap. Love that idea. That will be so fun!

I should watch the whole video before commenting. Sorry. I agree that the felting should start at the center and work your way out. I SUPER appreciate this video.

Hello, i just recently subscribed and was disappointed to see you dont post anymore. I was wanting to get into needle felting. I just have one ask, could you make a tutorial on how to make a stingray with needle felting?

Thank you so much for subscribing and leaving a comment. I would love to make a tutorial on a sting ray. I apologize. We moved this last year for Hawaii to Oregon, from a few locations to finally settling in a home this January. I have been looking for a new wool supplier as I am not happy with what I have found on the market. With that, I have been planning start my own Felting Supply business and working on my Website and creating wool bats. I have so much planned for this channel. I hope you stick around. I also Homeschool my kids, have a couple other channels, we traveled a lot in March plus Birthday’s and I work a part time job, so life has kept me so busy. I promise I’m working on it all and new videos are coming. I will be Felting the rest of my life and sharing it here. Thank you again. Happy Felting🌬️❄️🌲🤍

My son works at a dry cleaner and I can get lint for free can I use this for my base layer

You could, my be hard on the needles depending on the fabrics being dry cleaned, and sanitation might be a concern if the lint is not cleaned as well.
