On a very tangential topic. The pinky-purple glow is an artefact caused by the camera. The red and blue sensitive pixels in the camera chip also pick up infrared, ie heat, ie heat from the furnace. You can check this out for yourself. Stand in front of a mirror with your phone camera on, and aim the TV remote control at the reflection of your camera and operate the remote. You will see the infra red LED flickering the same pinky-purple colour. If it is white, then it means the image is saturated, and you need to stand further back to see the pinky-purple.

I did this with a more powerful soldering iron recently. You see nothing with your eyes, but it glows on camera.

They don't have a pre-heating process before this to get rid of moisture?

Yeah, I know. I’ve done home foundry work some, and that’s an inflexible rule - warm the charge up good befor it goes in the pot.

Ok, it seemed to start off ok but then the fog drifted in from the coast & I couldn't see anything after that 😂

I know right! It's almost like something happened, maybe an explosion of sorts, that could have caused smoke to obscure the view. Crazy, huh

I know wet charge aren't unusual, but this one is still "normal"? Or this is already a bad day at office?

Don't you guys sit the charge near the furnace for like 12 hrs minimum? This is SOP at most western Mills and foundries.
