In this video, Magnum photographer Ian berry shares with us his experiences and perspectives gathered from his life's work.
Being invited to join Magnum in 1962, Ian has seen various parts of the world and worked in most (if not all) aspects of professional photography. He has worked for the Daily Mail in South Africa, where his career first took off, and his work has even been found as crucial evidence in finding innocence during a trial linked to the Sharpeville massacre in 1960. Ian has a wealth of ideas about what makes somebody a great photographer and, here, he divulges what he thinks that is.
