Lawson Store is the Japanese 7 Eleven, but in the end a better choice, if you care about your money. Same product better price at the Chinese Lawson Store. What can you get in Shanghai for up to 1 dollar in a small supermarket that seems to be on every corner? Today we visit the Lawson Store (the smarter 7-Eleven in China) where you get far better prices and offers compare to another stores like Family Mart or 7- Eleven in Shanghai.
Unfortunately, 7-Eleven is so familiar to foreign tourists that they usually walk into the store on their own without looking around to see if there are any alternatives. We all need provisions for a day trip through Shanghai and so it is quite normal to go into a store like this to get what you need. However, many foreign tourists make the mistake of only shopping at 7 Eleven.
In the long run, many tourists unnecessarily burn precious money. It costs most tourists quite a lot of money, because there are alternatives to 7-Eleven such as the Japanese Lawson Store. But see for yourself, because I'll also explain a few price differences between Laswon Store and 7-Eleven.
Good to know is that the prices are similar in most stores throughout China. So the prices in Shanghai's supermarkets are pretty similar to those in Beijing, or in Chongqing.
China can be expensive if you have the wrong spending habits. We all consume on a daily basis, whether it's coffee, water or a snack between meals.
This starts when we visit a supermarket in the morning, or in between, like 7-Eleven, or hopefully Lawson.
