Buko juice with the meat. One of the good things to mention is that it is coconut that has been picked younger than what we are used to in America. One of my most pleasant surprises here in the Philippines was how good the young coconut is. In America you get the the older "Niyog" or "Lubi" (if I remember right Niyog Is Tagalog and Lubi is Cebuano) which has a more oily flavor and the meat is more fibery. Buko is lighter and sweeter and the meat is more tender. Sooooo good!

I live in General Trias Cavite. The street food here is cheaper than your location. The "dynamite" is only 5 pesos and the sisig is 35-50 pesos. Pork bbq skewers 3 for 40 pesos. I buy buko in 1 liter repurposed plastic water bottles for 25 pesos each. I am an American and I will eat anything, MY wife calls me "Ameripino" 😂, yet on the other hand my Filipina wife eats strictly organic and is constantly reminding me of how I am "ruining my body" with what I eat. If it don't try to bite me back, I'll eat it. Sisig is also my favorite. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Oh wow! I never got to try the night market there on Roxas St even though my kids had an apartment there facing the market for a good year since my son attend the Ateneo school there. We currently have a condo within walking distance from there at the Avida Towers, so hopefully I can try out the market the next time I'm out there! There was unfortunately a terrorist bombing there about 2-3 years ago that tragically killed a few people, but safety has since been stepped up and I'm glad to see the market and area alive and filled with happy people again! Love you videos and you found a new subscriber here! My wife and kids are currently living in Digo City too! :)

It's like they've run out of money so they escape to the Phils where they can live cheap, here's an idea, pay what you pay and enjoy your life.

Please bare with me on this another youtuber posted a video about animals you need to beware in the PH some are quit poisonous also the situation with stray dogs which breaks my heart. Now i am not sure i want to retire in the PH and see all this poverty. Also cost of living some video say its around 2000$ per month, i live in Canada with a house that is fully paid, and sadly the pension would barely cover 2000$ per month.. not sure where the bargain is moving to PH unless this video was wrong.

Sir you could get by in the Phils even for less than 1,000 USD. What I mean is living here depends which standard of living you would like to have.
@dgcat_9487

The Philippines population is high compared to 2 or 3 countries in Europe combined. And most often Western media show only the poverty side. They didn't even bother to show the rich side of the country. Which is kinda u fair as I have been to many countries and all countries I have visited including Canada and countries in Europe have that much poverty as well that the media doesn't show. The only difference is that the Philippines is a tropical country so poor people houses are built according to the climate, if you build that kind of home in cold countries, people will die of hypothermia. The poor people houses are built to survive the warm climate of the Phils. Houses here are very cheap, if you rent a house 400-500 usd can already provide you a very decent home in Manila.
