I’d love to see some quirky maximalist tbh. Some of these homes are starting to look similar with the “neutral tones but with spaces they have warmed up with more neutral tones”.
@lillustpotion

I saw this comment on another interior design channel but the style /designs you’re seeing are very “North American”. For example I live in the UK and maximalism is the THING right now. More is more is more. This Scandi / Minimal look was hugeee here about 5-7years ago. I think when they start to go to other countries/places we will see some differing aesthetics. Fingers crossed!

I agree with @Woman Inread, which is why I’ve been following “Design Notes” on House & Garden’s KZitem channel. Those videos offer a much-needed departure from the neutral-upon-neutral looks that dominate US and Canadian home tour videos. There’s so much more to design; let’s celebrate a wider design palette!

Not a fan of this one... too much plain white all around, only to be complemented by ugly wrought iron; plus their view is basically of the expressway. They already bought this joint for way too much money and then had to dump in a lot more just to make it what they wanted. Think they got the short end of the stick here, but as long as they're happy with it, that's what matters... just wouldn't be anything I would like or want.

I'm really curious that if people would just put their feet on the couch with the shoes on like she did at @5:19. Her shoes look clean but they must've been worn outside and came with mud/dust. Either she didn't grow up here, or left them on because of the video (my guess is the latter because her explanation for putting tiles in the front entryway would be negated if she then proceeded to wear her shoes on the hardwood).
