Ren is deep and intense. Great words to describe him. But he can also have fun! Keep exploring 😊Love your reaction!

Place and space are important factors in Ren's live performances. The performance is dictated by the forceful opening of the chair at the beginning reverberating in the empty space. The sound of the echo prompts Ren to make up the song in the moment, you can see him thinking up the lines. Chalk Outlines is a metaphor for the empty space flelt inside. Chinchilla also emerges from the walls and echos Ren and the reverberations increase when the sing together. The choreography also follows the sound, she sinks back and lower in the quieter moments and come face to face when it becomes more intense. As an echo would, she has the last word before the lights go out and the darkness desends.

One thing about this that isn't actually truth is that he is not making the song up in the moment. The part you think you're seeing him think, is actually because he misplayed the guitar and cut the note short on accident. It's the only time in the song that note in that sequence ever was cut short and he has an immediate reaction after that because he didn't mean for that to happen, but in classic Ren style having some flaws is just him being flawless. To the other concepts I really like that focus as an echo. Always thought if those two were a painting Ren is always the object but Chinchilla is the source of light in the picture. Cool stuff

@@BallisticAero Thanks for pointing this out. You obviously have a good ear .Its a very enigmatic personal sort of look The note stopped very sharply ,do you think it possible he did it on purpose? Either way, was great to see him relate to the music like this. He has a gift for embodiment

His facial expression when he says “take it just in case” … you can see that he’s reliving an actual experience in that moment. To say that he’s “feeling it” is an understatement. You can tell this is personal … intimate …

Looking forward to this reaction. I think it is important to know that Ren has some fun and good songs in his massive catalog in addition to his heavy and emotional songs. Considering what he's been through and that art is often born from pain, it is certainly understandable why he has so many heavy ones. If you need a break from the heavy, I encourage knowing which are the fun or at least uplifting ones. What You Want, Power, The Hunger, Patience, Losing It, Love Music Parts 1-3 are among those. I find listening to all the deep heavy hitters starts to make me feel a bit too overwhelmed. I am the kind of person who listens to and watches these videos over and over on repeat and, for me, that's a bit much on the emotions... and I do it anyway. Keep up the great and fun reactions!

It's a beautiful song that is true for many people on this world when it comes to distractions of all kinds. They did a wonderful job harmonizing. If you haven't heard already, I would highly suggest you watch "How To be me" live by these two. You can hear the pain in desperation and both of their voices.

This is my favorite song by Ren. I can't believe I've never checked out Chinchilla until seeing her collabs with Ren. I knew she was an up-and-coming UK singer, and she'd toured with Sting, but I didn't know how remarkable she was. I think this live performance and the lyrics of her song "Fingers" are stunning. kzitem.info/news/bejne/rIFrnIethnirl5g
