What Is PMDD?
Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is a hormone-based mood disorder. Symptoms appear during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle and last until the menstrual flow begins. Women with PMDD are more sensitive to the effects of estrogen and progesterone, with research now pointing to genetics as a risk factor.
PMDD causes are linked to the changes in hormone levels, not just the hormones themselves.
What Is PMS?
