What do you mean by Daiva Yajna?
Is it suitable for ordinary people to perform this?
There is no need for any elaborate arrangements to perform this.
You don't need to be an expert in the recitation of any Shastras.
There is no need for reciting any Vedas either.
In that case, how are you going to perform this Yajna?
God exists in every atom of the human body as the inner being.
He's moving about in every limb of the human body in the form of Rasa.
In the waking, dream, and deep sleep states too He is residing, protecting, and nourishing the body.
Hence, the body is under the protection of God.
Daiva Yajna is taking note of the protection offered by God, and offering worship, expressing gratitude for the same.
For any act of help rendered in the worldly sense, gratitude is offered and the act is remembered.
Even in the modern day, if a handkerchief is dropped by a person and if someone hands it over to him, the recipient says thank you.
Is there no need to extend gratitude to God who protects, develops, and nourishes our life?
This Yajna is one that is saturated with gratitude.
To offer worship to God there is no need for a prescribed place or wealth.
Offering worship with the purity of the Three Karanaas, thought, word and deed is Yajna.
The second is Rishi Yajna.
It is the Rishis who have laid down the code and prescribed the type of life that has to be lived by humans.
From dawn to dusk, humans undertake different types of activities.
It is the Rishis who have laid down the rules as to how, when, where, and in what way each activity has to be performed.
This Rishi Yajna is a gratitude offered to the Rishis by way of remembering and worshipping them. They have prescribed various rules and regulations to human beings through scriptures that act as a guide and encourage them to lead an ideal life in this world.
These scripts are treasure troves of nectar that are given by the Rishis through their practice and experience.
The Rishi Yajna or Rishi Runa is one which helps us to practice all activities according to the rules laid down by the Rishis and the scriptures by offering them a sense of gratitude.
Pitru Yajna.
For our very birth and for our physical body it is the parents who are responsible.
It is our parents who have gifted us the body and all the constituents of the body.
For the progress and prosperity of the children, parents make different and difficult sacrifices. They are the sacred ones who fast themselves to nourish their children and help them.
It is the parents who, in order that the children have a comfortable life without any inconvenience, put in great efforts and sacrifices to give them wealth and other things so that they have a comfortable life.
Showing gratitude to such parents, by making them happy, serving them, obeying the commands of the parents throughout life, after the parents leave their mortal coil, performing good deeds in their name, giving charity, remembering them every month or at least once a year, and observing these as days to remember them and give Tarpana, shedding tears of love and gratitude with the sweet remembrance of their service is Pitru Yajna.
Next is Manushya Yajna.
Offering any type of help to fellow human beings who are suffering and in difficulties, giving charity and alms to poor people to remove their problems and sadness, serving the sick, entering into the society and serving the needy, following the service of fellow human beings, giving happiness to others and treating their joy as one’s own joy is Manushya Yajna.
It is almost a common experience that every human being will take care of various animals or birds at one’s home as pets.
