My biggest theory is that humanity isn’t extinct. As there are at least 99 walled cities. I believe that there is no way for communication between cities without the control room, leaving the companions with no way of knowing about other humans.

I am working on a theory that I will probably make into a video soon about it, but yeah, I agree with you :D

So if they were extinct, i assume their population before extinction and plague would be approximately 5k

Stray is one of the few games I've bought at full price. I saw a let's play of it and fell in love with the robots, the visuals, and the world. I knew I had to get it.

The biggest "plothole" of the game is, that all these electronics in the city still work after hundred (or even thousands?) of years, especially combined with humidity.

Who knows, maybe the robots maintain it or something.

Well, the robots are very smart. Maybe as smart as the humans 2ho designed their AI. They even mourned their Soft Ancestors. It's not surprising they learned how to do more than basic tasks.

When i first saw the advanced zurks it was one of the most terrifying things i’ve experienced in gaming I went from going around with a cute cat to being surrounded by those monstrosities

I didn’t know how this game was going to be until I played it, very interesting and a very unique game I was happy to experience. The story was amazing and the end actually made me cry and then bring happiness to see the cat was able to help the robots🥹👏🏼❤️❤️✨✨This game is worth another play through I loved it….

I'm pretty sure the bateria evolved and went from under control even when the humanity was stll there. There was a newspaper I think in Doc's laboratory saying how the bacteria is not under control anymore and started eating metal - I think the newspaper was made while humans still were around. The whole plaque is, in my theory, the zurks itself, or like they were the biggest reason for that outbreak along with all of the junks. Perhaps the bacteria progressed so quickly, that it started attacking even humans, and that is what led to the final extinction, they just consumed all of them.

Pretty sure those newspaper were called something robot themed, but I'd have to check in game :)

I mean, headcrabs are a cheap knockoff of face huggers? But the Zurks actually have, I believe, an actual origin and their design fits with their origin that they evolved.

I think the Zurks ate most of humanity, but some might have survived like other people have said.
