The problem is people nowadays are loyal to their comforts and as much as we complain about how terrible the world is, we love our lives and we loving living it, nobody is in a hurry to die for anything. Back in the days people were more willing to die because they didn’t have much to live for, they were dying for Civil Rights, the right to be treated fairly/equally, these days most of us have too many material possessions to even really care about causes because our own lives are decent or good enough to distract us.

I think Marcus Rashford is constantly concerned that anything he does or says, whether intentional or not, whether said or done in the UK or not, is going to cause a problem for him in the media. I feel sorry for him because it seems like he wants to be able to talk about things he faces, but he worries about the public backlash.

sometimes a situation calls for you to move strategically, not to wear your heart on your sleeve as it might come back to bite you in the long run. When going against a status quo or power; if you yourself are in amongst those who oppress or marginalise, in order to stay in those positions of power, one might have to conceal their intentions. So you might want to call people on their bullshit but that might not be the play because in the long run the effects might be counter productive, where as if you know when and how to strike, you can come out of those binds/situations on top.

Rashford was out here tryna please the majority, that’s the problem with him in this matter. The media training and everything all came into play at this moment cause he was tryna please the family he’s about to marry into, the fans that watch him play, etc. I don’t think he understands that he’s not only representing himself at this point, he’s now representing us as well. If he’s tryna pass it off as “they were angry at the outcome”, whenever there’s an outcome they don’t like and it involves someone who’s not Rashford and it’s a man walking on the street, they’re gonna pass it off as “we was angry at the outcome.” And what Daniel said was right, he said “why did you immediately go there, that means it was just there waiting”. So much to unpack from that thing but I’ve already written too much

John wick with the aim! He wants the pros of being a Black man who has influence but does not want the responsibilities his influence has on the world in regard to how we are viewed and treated as black people. The boy is a coward, but I can’t wholly blame him because that’s what society has became and it takes A person of principal to resist the selfish mindset, societal pressures and conditioning and speak the truth.

Death is inevitable which is why in Ancient Egypt Culture they have Book Of The Dead. Essentially preparing them for death. But in the same breath preparing them for life. Western Society doesn't really prepare the mind to be ready for death. It is a concept that is looked down upon. We are all energy and energy lives for ever. But be willing to die for the right people, and right situations. Such as family. It is an honour to die while trying to protect and defend your family.

You don't have to die to make a change. Anything that we as humans want to do, has to be spearheaded by the adequate individual/individuals. Some of us are born to lead, others are born to follow. Both parties are highly essential. Yet in the event of death, some deaths might not make the much needed noise for the cause to initiate a global change. Example: Martin Luther King dying resonated somewhat globally. The deaths of his loyal followers unfortunately merely resonated in the black community. Hence my statement, that not everybody has to die. But rather the "key-figures". Some will die, the others will pick up the pieces and continue. If we all died, what was the essence of fighting in the first place? What about the notion of:" I am willing to live and fight for the cause everyday. So that I too, can enjoy the fruits of my labour." (this statement is nuanced, please beare that in mind)

Why do you have to compare two women? Let’s not do all that. Cardi can exist & succeed along side Nicki will always have her barbs. I don’t check for her but if it’s one thing that’s certain that nicki will always have a fan base & following & get her flowers. Please stop all this there can only be one at the top bc Cardi b is still killing it, why do multiple female rappers make yous uncomfortable that you always have to crown one over the other? Could have complimented Nicki without bringing Cardi b or anyone else. No wonder Nicki is so para… I bet it’s men in her ear telling her all sorts. Men are such messy boots.

The current state of capitalism and the heightened sense of individualism, combined with the simultaneous decline in community, is incompatible with relentless unforgiving selfless activism - like the kind we’ve seen in prior generations and historic movements. There’s so much going on in the world and so many causes to care for, so even consistent online activism is difficult to maintain; that’s why we/people often post things for a bit then ‘forget’. Activism and truth-telling, even online can be taxing - probably why Rashford deflected and tried to be ‘understanding’. We’re not willing to die for much these days; and slyly controversial opinion: I don’t think we should have to. Too many have died already for what seems like scraps of change, considering now some societies are regressing- I guess the question is was their martyrdom in vain? A lot of societies are already regressing, this is apparent here in the west with the overturning of roe v wade, the human rights act being replaced in the UK and the policing of freedom of speech and protest etc. I think the question should be what are you willing to do or give up, because not many are willing to die or should be.

CHUCKIE N TEMI both sleep. Cardi killed wireless. Nicki was overrated. Late on set and performed pop singles. These two defo didn't watch wireless on iplayer. Nicki literally sat on a bed most her set and barely worked the crowd. Just bc she did a meet n greet doesn't mean she is top in demand. She was strategic about that entire meet n greet. I like Nicki i just think you man overreacted and overrated her wireless news! Payola.

Yeh his Beckham analogy wasn't a bad one. Loads of white players have been subject to abuse from England fans. Beckham, Rooney most notably but more recently than Rashford, Sancho and Saka we have seen Maguire booed by Wembley crowds when having his name read out. But if a black player is criticized, it must be racism right?
@daraowolabi5876

unfortunately he can’t think like that because realistically people have different agendas so some people weren’t just criticising, so many people used the loss to spew racism/ hate speech which he still has to acknowledge but i get the point that you are trying to make.

‘If there was no racism’ but there WAS. So why are you ‘if’ing? Hypothetical situations are irrelevant. There was racism, so he wasn’t right.
