Coming from a RE Classic 250, I am going to buy my W800 this Friday from a private sale. Looking forward to my Kawa journey.

I too am a BMW owner that bought a W800, but I have the Concours for my long distance machine. But looking at adding another to my yard soon, as I would like a KLR as I have mentioned prior comments. Keep them coming sir! Algorithm , you need to know to push these videos out! 😂

Awesome! The Concours is a good mile eater too! N+1 is a fantastic formula for motorcycle ownership. I'm not sure what I need to do in order to get the attention of the algorithm. I'm very happy that the channel is doing as well as it's doing, super grateful for the great community!

Here’s a crazy, unexpected development-it looks like we’re getting the new W230 in the US! It’s on the Kawasaki website now! MSRP is listed as $5,599. I’m shocked, I did not think we would see it here.

Cool story. I really want one, but I’m finding that my bad back doesn’t handle short travel suspension well. They are pretty awesome to look at though.

@@bigbluemotorbikedog I’ll stand for the big ones, but I’m finding it’s the culmination of all the small bumps that get me. After a long ride I feel it. And the roads are generally pretty decent where I live. I’ve recently started looking at dual sports and other midsized adv’s as a way to keep from destroying my spine. I never had any issues until I ditched my Klr to try out a few modern classics.

The sight or sound of a motorcycle do not generally resonate with motorists. The only sense that draws their attention to the motorcyclist is the sense of touch and by then it is too late. Many car drivers do not see or subconsciously perceive motorcycles as a danger. They are trained to see trucks and other cars as a danger. Their minds do not acknowledge the existence of motorcycles so in their subconscious we are not there. Ride accordingly! I once had a motorist look over her shoulder directly at me and then pull over into my lane anyway. Her mind did not perceive a threat so I wasn't there. BJ

You reminded me of an event in my youth, where a car changed in to my lane pushing me out of it in to the space between the lane and the median while I was using my horn at him, I literally knocked on his window, he looked at my like what? Took a second, and he snapped back in to his lane with a 'sorry' look... Why I try to look like something that's NOT supposed to be there (as we get blind to things pretty easy) in the hopes of registering the WTF response in the brain, as I know I'm not a semi truck that would warrant the 'mega threat' part of the brain. Thank you for commenting!~

Yes, 120 years of brand, but I am a Velocette man, a Norton man, a Matchless man, a BSA man and a Triumph man. Looks are everything. Riding a fake Triumph does not turn me on. BMW yikes that's another story . The latest BMW1800 is toooo ugly to describe.

@@michaelbrett3749 hahaha, it looks like an AJS (what the W1 was based on after Kawasaki bought Maguro. ) The Japanese engineering and build quality, along with that gorgeous bevel drive with a true parallel twin engine is why. Triumph doesn't have any of those things. But they are both pretty bikes.

@@bigbluemotorbikedog Pretty is everything. The Kawasaki is copying the Triumph's looks but not as pretty. Way too many bits of tubing and the ugly bevel drive cam. The Kawasaki has 46 HP about the same as a 650cc Triumph from the 60's and yet the engine is 800cc. No sorry, get yourself a Triumph and be the man
