Thanks for reminding us that you can split a double-maneuver move over two turns. Some of us know that, but *cough* tend to forget *cough* when running a combat.

I don't know what in particular you have planned for the future of SWRPG content, but I'd love to request a review of the crafting system. It's the one thing I was surprised wasn't in the core rules.

I'll look into it! Thanks!

No prob! There are a few systems that live outside of the core books. Also, I apparently missed the "What's next for the channel" video. I'm caught up now.

Subscribed for that good, good Genesys/Star Wars content. Keep it up! Having GMed dozens of games in this system I have no need for these guides, but I'm so starved for good Genesys content that I watch all of them multiple times '>_< !

About criting and getting advantages...you need to get corresponding amount of "advantages" in that same attack roll, or they stack from previous attacks? As in, PC is hitting someone with the fist, for example, and need 5 advantages in his attack roll to crit (provided he scored a wound)? So, basically, you score next to no crits on low levels, until you build up a dice pool that is capable of producing 5 "advantages", along side enough successes to actually score a wound, in a single roll? Is that correct?

All advantages and Triumphs and threat/despair have to be used in the roll they were rollled on. You can't save them for later.

Would you say rolling a perception or vigilance check to determine if you notice other opponents arriving at the scene during combat (or noticing someone who is using stealth) counts as an action?
@TheTabletopEmpire
Жыл бұрын
Perception, I would say yes since you are actively looking. Vigilance I would say no, since it is your passive awareness.

New player question: let’s say I’m at long range with a long range weapon. If I “maneuver” aim every turn for 3 turns, does that mean I get 1 boost on turn 1, and 2 books on turn 2&3? Or would turn three be back to one boost?
@TheTabletopEmpire
9 ай бұрын
AFAIK you get 1 boost on the first, and then 2 every subsequent turn as long as you do it each turn.

When aiming at someone's weapon, if you hit does it just disarm the opponent OR does it damage the weapon? Trying to determine what what would be a better tactic since 3 advantages on a regular attack allows you to disarm someone anyway.
@TheTabletopEmpire
Жыл бұрын
I could be wrong, but I would say its up to GM interpretation. I would say disarm the opponent, and depending on number of success it damages the weapon being shot. The difference between aiming for it or using 3 advantage, is 3 advantage can be hard to roll sometimes, but you can guarantee a higher chance of disarming if thats what you want to do by aiming. (Reactive vs proactive disarming)

@@TheTabletopEmpire On a slightly related note, the core book shows that if you roll 2 Triumphs you can use that to disable a piece of equipment (weapon?), is that a complete destruction and character needs to buy another one, or does that go through the damaged weapon process (in the weapon maintenance section)?
@TheTabletopEmpire

I'm honestly not sure about this scenario. You should ask the #rules-as-written chat in discord!

@@carlosrivera9047 damage to a weapon has three stages or levels, found on page 166 of Force and Destiny namely Minor, Moderate, and Major. Technically (as in RAW) you can only disable a weapon with 3 Advantages, destroy it with 2 Triumphs, or damage it one level with a Despair. The book is silent on what it means by disable and destroy, so it’s left open to the interpretation of the GM. When I GM, I allow the weapon to be damaged one level with 2 Advantages, and two levels with a single Triumph - after all, the player is giving up the damage caused in favour of damaging the weapon.

@@ianhoulihan4649 This is perfect! Appreciate the guidance and detailed response. I love this game but at times I get frustrated with too many of the "narrative GM interpretation" or vague RAW. LOL
