السلام علیکم Mateen, A question from someone who's never grown anything. Is it possible to sow radish in pots? & is it OK to sow coriander, mint or other herbs? Jazaakumullaah

Walaikum Salaam, Radishes are fine in pots, just make sure they are deep enough. Coriander is also fine to sow now check out this video kzitem.info/news/bejne/lnuXs6eYkIJ0Zoo

Thanks, I don't believe in just trying to show a made up image to get likes etc. I've not had a problem with slugs on garlic, i use nematodes for slugs, take a look at one of the recent shorts i did which shows how

Another great informative vid, thank you. We have just obtained a plot for an allotment and I am prepping now for next year. I collect a lot of my own seeds as I’m sure you do, but if you have a look on premier seeds direct it’s very cheap and postage is reasonable too. I love how you use literally every inch possible, making use of the space you have.

@@gypsygem9395 hi, we have just been marking out the beds at the moment (some vids on my channel) I am having wood borders around but not raised bed as such - on the end bed I am having a walk in netted area. All very much work in progress at the moment. I won’t be planting anything until mar/apr next year now so im putting the fabric weed membrane down to kill any roots or prevent weeds in the meantime. Any tips hints you guys have are very welcome - im getting loads from this channel too x

Another great video. Thank you for providing such clear content for a novice gardener like myself 😊 May I ask a question? After your August video I’ve been trying to grow some lettuce- I bought some cos and arctic king seeds. I’ve sowed them twice already directly in my raised bed and once in a seedling tray and out of hundreds of seeds sown by now I’ve had ONLY 2 germinate. I sowed them, covered with loose compost and kept the ground moist on dry days. What have I done wrong? I really really want some lettuce 😅
@MyFamilyGarden
3 жыл бұрын
I don't think you've done anything wrong. Try sowing the lettuce in a seed tray by simply sprinkling them on the surface with very little compost to cover, the seeds need some light to germinate

@MyFamilyGarden
3 жыл бұрын
You can do it will have a good period to get established, i'll try to exlain my logic I prefer to sow cover crops in setember so i can get them germinated and established before it gets to cold, then sprout garlic later as more space becomes free because they germinate even in really cold soil.
