This is where it jumps sideways. The previous ep has the equivalent of most of players having their character killed off. And one of the player characters gets taken prisoner. Oh, also the one surviving player is... off doing his own thing now.
Yeah, in a TTRPG that's a pretty bad place to be in. But here we are.
This does add several characters, but doesn't really do much with them.
The weird political stuff.... doesn't make sense when you question why that senator is directing it at Vernestra... and not the Jedi Council. I personally think that part was kind of a bad idea to put in and would probably leave it out entirely. My guess is it's only there to explain why the Jedi hide what happened, but... it's a flimsy pretext.
