What began the Gulf War?
In 1990 Saddam Hussein's Iraq invaded Kuwait, causing outrage across much of the wider Arab world and across the international community. When Iraq refused to withdraw a coalition of dozens of states led by the USA fought the Gulf War to force Saddam's forces out of Kuwait.
