It is time to dump the coach, fire the entire committee and tell head of the WNBA to get her head out of her ass or resign in shame. All the excuses are weaker than DT performance. There are a few player that did belong but several who should never of been considered. I keep hearing but we needed players with international experience but how are the younger players going get it if they are taken along. In stead it more valuable to take someone who hasn’t played all season due to injuries. Get real. Quit with excuses and resign. It will do Women’s Basketball a huge favour.

I agree but Caitlin does have international experience as she played in the U19 and 2 years later was MVP in Hungary playing for USA. I watched a little of the Belgium game but lost interest. Cheryl Reeve is a great coach but not open minded for new talent that may take a spot to vets. There is zero reasons why Arike and Caitlin should have been excluded.

While I agree Clark would have been an upgrade, the true loss for Team USA is not having Arike Ogunbowale on the team. Arike would have put up much better numbers than Taurasi and some of the players currently on the roster. Clark can have great performances, but they're somewhat sporadic. one thing about Caitlin, is that if another player has the hot hand, she's willing to step aside and let them cook. SHe didn't have as much talent around her at Iowa so it rarely happened there. You saw how Clark was wiling to let Arike have her moment during Arike's 37 point blitz against Team USA.

I am a big CC fan. I completely forgot there even was a WNBA until she showed up. And yes, keeping her off the team was a snub and a mistake for the Olympic enterprise. But, in my opinion, it has turned out to be a good thing for both CC and the WNBA. Not being on Team USA has given CC the much needed break she required to recharge her batteries and enjoy some R&R that she hasn't had for a long time. Not having CC on the team has caused a controversy that has only drawn more attention to the WNBA. Like any good melodrama, it has given us an embattled protagonist that we love and not one but several antagonists that we love to hate. You could not have written a better script and it will have a great ending that will rival the endings of the movies; "A Few Good Men", "Legally Blonde" and "My Cousin Vinnie". However, in this hit piece on Taurasi, you could have done a better job of laying out more of the facts and putting them into perspective. Lots of hyperbole, but low on facts. I don't mean to leave the selection committee off the hook, but you can do better.
