As chefs, we cook all day at our job, when it comes to home cooking for ourselves, we aren’t gonna whip out some kind of high end restaurant dish. We just want to eat something simple and delicious, and not stand in the kitchen for hours on our day off. One pot/pan wonders is always the way to go!

I'm definitely going to have to figure out the curry chicken one. But I like to make a crack chicken in my slow cooker and so that turns into about 5:00 or so different meals. Cream broccoli chicken and rice, chicken quesadilla, King ranch casserole, white chicken enchiladas with queso cheese, a quick chicken salad if I feel the need I mean it's just very versatile.

Honestly the best curry sauces are the cheap shop brands in the jars, absolutely love cheap tikka or even a korma which is mild but theres a ton of flavour, has to be shops own brand like morrisons, cheap too! Shred the chicken, dont dice it and add instant pilau rice and eat it using ready salted crisps as a scoop, thank me later 😍😍😍

Former chef, The left over pizza crust I rejected yesterday. Realistically though, when I was working for a busy restaurant the kitchen staff was there 14-16 everyday, six days a week. I ate whatever staff meal was readily available. You start looking for employees with a exotic background and make them make staff meal. Our dishwasher made an amazing biryani. When I opened my own restaurant my hours only went up. I made sure to put in a shower and a Murphy bed in my office. Unrelated story… one year during the Christmas holiday we were doing maybe 18 hours a day. One day, during a snowstorm, when we final got off in the morning the bus was delayed. After waiting 45 minutes I just went back to the restaurant and passed out in the lounge area. The morning prep crew was already there and I had to be back at work in about four hours anyways.

And no Fries for me or anything that resembles from the menu at work, I am Fed up tasting and preparing by the time I’m back at home. And most of the time I eat very late at night. I need like a good hour till my body understand that I was tasting all the time and not really eating. I usually just eat processed food before same as most chef. But its better for my health and better food when i just stew a kilo or 2 of oxtail or beef then use that as my meat for a week. Roasting is also good i once did that with a lamb leg. Ate it for a week. Also its good to have mince meat or chicken marinating in the fridge which you can put in the air fryer or oven: this is what i recommend specially for moms or dads like me that has to cook for the family a few times a week.

We eat while we work. Mine is usually the chips, veggies and literally scraps of meat after plating up. You'd be surprised how much. So like a table of 5 could see you with q bug handful of chips, good few bits of broccoli and carrots and if its ham or beef then the pieces that don't look to appetising are good. Im always full by end of service. The best is when you've made too many puddings and their best before date is on the morning you start. Technically theyd be fine, but by law they have to get binned. But if its something like macaroons or creme brulé then it's a bonus 😂😂
