I like that they're flatter and easier to conceal than a J-frame revolver, yet at 6+1 can hold two more rounds. And they're so affordable you can carry one in each front pocket... :-)

I’ll tell you my experience with this one. I bought one right when they came out I believe 4 years ago. I bought 2 more mags just like you did. Every trip to the range, I would run each mag through twice. No problems. Until the last range trip. It started jamming every time with each magazine. I think it’s my fault for keeping them fully loaded and ready to go for 4 years! I would suggest storing the magazines empty when not carrying it. Now I’m shopping for new springs! Anyway, when it’s running right, it really likes Winchester Ranger 147 grain (standard non +P).

I heard a lot of issue about when they first came out but heard the gen 4’s fixed it all. And yea I go tot the range every weekend and I usually run threw a mag at least and will switch mags afterwards

Simply the GREATEST ! LOVE MY DB9 ! Hyper-light, Hyper-small & 100% reliable ! Most of all .. I can carry it in the pocket of Anything and I simply forget I even have it. It's just that small & light. My EVERYDAY for at least 6+ years now. I started with the ( Gen 3 ) but it took a bit of massaging ( polishing, & Trigger & parts mods ) to get it to be ( 100% ) reliable with Most ammo. My ( Gen. 4 ) ENDED all of that ! It shoots everything 100% reliably now. Though I added a ( Crimson Trace ) Laser which adds to its already Incredible accuracy. They don't officially make a Crimson Trace for the ( DB9 ) anymore due to the original ( Gen 1 ) had a weak frame and they stopped making it supposedly due to it causing the frames to crack. Which sounds insane but ... OK. The HUGE ( # 1 ) problem with the ( DB9 ) and the reason you don't hear anything about it is the fact that Diamondback Screwed Up BIG by releasing Long before all the issues had been worked out. The ( Gen 1 ) was a Complete & Utter DISASTER ! and as you know ... in the Gun World once you get a reputation as an "Unreliable P.O.S." ... IT'S OVER ! Even if they completely change everything through the following generations. Suggestions --> Install the Crimson Trace ( DB 380 ) Laser. It has the same frame as the ( DB9 ) & it fits perfectly. It's tiny and has the instant auto-ON by simply squeezing the grip. I will never buy a Laser that you have to purposely flip an "ON" switch again.. BIG TIME Performance Suggestion - PORT the BARREL ! After shooting the Sig Sauer ( P365 ) i decided to have the Barrel & slide of my ( DB 9 ) Ported. ( 2 ) small oval sized ports @ ( 10:00 & 2:00 ) and it transformed from merely Kick-Ass to Freak'in INCREDIBLE ! It Seriously mellowed & mitigated the Snap. Big Time ! Far better performance improvement than even the porting -vs- Non on my ( P 365 ) . If you do all of the above you will have THE Baddest Ass Lil ( 9mm ) on the Planet ERF> ! Accurate, reliable, lightweight & Hyper-Tiny ! & will disappear in your pocket of even your nylon NIKE running shorts

My Gen 4 shot great and on target for me . Clean it, oil it, and shoot good ammo through it . I bought it specifically for pocket and ankle carry . It fits the ruger brand lcp pocket holster . I use the blue force ultracomp pocket holster which they discontinued. It was the lightest thinnest holster I’ve used .

CartxxnTACTICAL, I just subscribed and liked. Thnx, for making this vid, I'm glad you really enjoy the DB9. I respect that your not a gun snob and are open to budget friendly brands. Nice to see you get out their and test it. I'm going to have to pick up some of those grips like you have. I really like the stock sites. The orange front sight makes quick visibility, I believe they're metal. You're right about it being the smallest 9mm single mag type gun. Which makes sense why they call this the baby glock. That's partly why I bought it. It definitely conceals and disappears in the pocket. The firearm is accurate also with some close groups so far, knock on wood. I have a question that I wish could be answered. I picked up a Diamondback Firearms DB9 Gen 4 during the last Black Friday PSA deal. Manipulating the slide without much effort could cause the firing pin to float out, thus sticking out. I noticed of my firearm when the chamber is empty with anywhere from 1 round to a full mag during releasing the slide from the slide stop position with the firing pin 'sticking out' won't chamber a round. If I'm not aware under certain circumstance when I rack the first round it could cause the firing pin to protrude. When I did that the bullet rim would get stuck underneath the firing pin with the bullet nose facing upward. That would obstruct the barrel causing the slide not to set all the way into forward motion. This would happen for both full metal jacket and hollow point ammo. Once ammo is fed into the chamber I could proceed to fire rounds successfully until the mag is empty whether between 1 to a full mag available. On the contrary, I could successfully chamber the first round by aggressively slingshoting with the slide in forward position while not starting from the slide stop. And, also successfully chamber after the gun was discharged with the last round held open I believe because of the recoil inertia causing the firing pin aka striker to lock back within the firing pin spacer sleave. Furthermore, if I set the firing pin so it's back all the way when the slide is open and then press the trigger and release the slide and then bring it back again the firing pin stays back all the way. And, it's not a magazine issue because it didn't matter with one in the magazine or a topped off magazine. Also, because with the gun unloaded and the magazine taken out while looking down the mag well when I proceed to pull the slide back the trigger bar simultaneously presses the "plunger" aka firing pin safety without the trigger being pressed. The same event happens even after I take out the barrel and the recoil spring but not nearly as much indenting the fire pin safety, especially with the muzzle facing down. Further, I was afraid that if the firing pin is sticking out and I proceed to chamber a round I could have an accidental slamfire? After my inquiry on these concerns almost exactly including the slamfire question sent to Diamondback Firearms their gunsmith replied, "Yeah that’s normal the firing pin doesn’t have a return spring but relies on the slide going forward to pull the firing pin back. So it wont be possible for the gun to slam fire since coming forward the sear is pulling back on the firing pin. So just keep that in mind when chambering the firearm that the firing pin needs to be pulled back when chambering a round." CartxxnTACTICAL and or others, have you noticed the same happen on your DB9 Gen 4? Do you think I should press Diamondback Firearms further and demand their gunsmiths to physically look at my firearm or do you agree with Diamondback Firearms reply and think this is normal and nothing really to be concerned about? To be fair and honest regardless of brand I believe it's important to vet one's firearm. I.e. my Glock 19 Gen 4 had a failure to feed on its second round shot out of it. Also, surveying the internet Sig Sauer, Glock, Smith & Wesson, SKS rifles and other makes and models have had complaints and inquiry regarding firing pins floating or sticking out similarly because of having no firing pin return spring. To be honest if I would have known beforehand about the negative points of not having a firing pin return spring I might have considered differently before purchasing, and may consider from now on any future gun make/model that doesn't? We both have the same reason in mind for this make and that's to conceal something for ease for edc. The DB9 really has a lot of things to offer that I like. Any respectful reply is much appreciated! Thnx-Alex!

I carry the original Gen 1 diamondback. Nearly 15 years now and it’s been a perfect gun. Put around 3k rounds through it and about 5 jams. Which isn’t bad. Usually carry it as a back up to an OG shield 12 years carrying it. But sometimes carry the DB9 solo. Great video. Now subbed.

I dig it. There is one shop in town that I know carries these. The last time I was there, I saw these, but didn't have time to physically handle one. They look to be comparable in size to the Ruger LCP. Personally, I like my EDC to be extremely concealable. You did an excellent job at showcasing what this pistol can do. That being said, I'll definitely have to check this out!👍
