This looks like such a relaxing time. I wish we had places like this in the US. Spas here are so expensive and to me they’re special, you can’t take your time. I just went to a bachelorette spa day for my friend who is getting married in 2 months. It was expensive and we were rushed through every treatment. There were only 4 of us. And we went on a weekday because we thought it would be calmer. And even though it wasn’t busy, it just didn’t relax any of us! We each had a facial, a pedicure, an upper back massage and we each had a cup of tea and a few macarons. It was supposed to be 3 hours and $220 each. We were out of there in 2 hours and 10 min. And they didn’t tell us the tea and macarons were an extra $25! It was extremely upsetting as we had all budgeted a certain amount. We all work hard and rarely get to spend time together so it was just more stressful than we expected.

Hi Rhea - very interesting video. Over here in the UK though, we aren’t generally that brave when it comes to getting naked with strangers 😬
@Fiobo823

Actually, I wouldn't be comfortable, ever, being naked like that with family either!!!!! There is no way I'd ever do that. But if you were allowed to wear a swimsuit, then no problem!! Don't really understand why you have to be naked.
@etheladdams2562

@@Fiobo823 Just a different culture. In Japan, kids grow up taking a bath with their parents. Students take a bath with their classmates during school trips. I hated it with classmates, but with strangers, they feel the same way, so they don't pay attention to you and you just don't have to worry too much anymore. If you stay at hotels in Japan, most of them have public baths as well as private bathrooms. If you go into the mountains, you can enjoy taking a bath of mountain water with cold air outside.

I've only been to a hot spring once in Japan and it was a private one. The hot spring was located right outside of the ryokan room I stayed at. Bathing is such a private matter to me that I'd never consider going to a public bath house or onsen. However, it's definitely cheaper to go to a public one but I'm not sure if it's safe to go to one while we're still in a pandemic. I guess I'm just one of those people who don't like the idea of soaking in water with other people in it, lol. It just overall doesn't sound clean to me. But the onsen bath place looks nice. Thanks for showing us!

I really wish we had something like that here in the US! I loved all of the ways you showed to detox and relax. The baths are beautiful as is the ambient lighting. The only thing I would probably do differently is to never have Soda or any other junk food after detoxing, I would probably want a nice cup of green tea. The food in the restaurant looked delicious! I’m happy that you had a great time.😊❤️

Some places have a private onsen you can rent. As well as some Ryokan have a private onsen that comes with your room, with some being in a small outdoor area with amazing views. That could be a better option for couples. Make it a whole mini vacation.
