Woo hoo Albert ❤ BAND-MAID. As a 13yr old after i heard "Fire of Unknown Origin" i bought all of BÖC's albums. When i heard BAND-MAID's "Don't You Tell Me" in 2017 i immediately bought all of their records too. As you can see i don't do that too often but BAND-MAID are so damn awesome it's almost criminal :)

BAND-MAID got a double dip this time. NICE!! "Hyper pop , but metal" is about the best description of "Black Hole" that I've heard. The first song "Manners " was obviously live since it was from the same show, but I think he was talking about some of the instrumental backing tracks he was hearing. There were vocal ones too on Miku's backing vocals but she was really singing along with them.Either that or they were adding effects to her vocals.
@Parker--

Exactly. There are backing tracks for extra instruments and backing vocals for certain parts that need group vocals. It's usually pretty obvious, especially live, when it's Miku in person and when it's the backing track.

I'm really glad to hear that Albert likes BM, that is a real coup in my opinion. I've seen them three times live, twice in 2022 and once this year and one thing that always stands out is their level of consistency. Black Hole isn't one of my top songs, but Manners is so enjoyable, especially live at a show because everyone in the crowd knows when the ha ha ha is going to come down and everybody chimes without having to be prompted. Just an all-around great band and great ambassadors.

It's almost a shame to mention that the bass player is killing it. All the right parts in all the right places, and somehow even leaving room. Damn! The shame part is that everyone else is spot-on, too. Great band, great arrangement, rocking its ass off and nobody on the stage is a waste of space.

Those tracks were live from their February 11, 2021 Online Okyu-ji. They were to have played at Budokan, but the concert was cancelled because of the renewed lockdown in Japan. They had an entire concert planned for the live show but then rescheduled at an empty soundstage used for live television and livestreamed it to their fan club. They release a few segments online on May 10th, 2021, the "Day of the Maid", Ma10 - get the pun? I have the BluRay and they use backing tracks to augment the concert, especially where they anticipate audience participation, because there was no audience. Band-Maid does augment their live vocals with backing tracks, but not egregiously so. At times the silence between songs is eerie. They are in this auditorium with just their techs and the television crew. Miku occasionally consorts with the director at the edge of the stage. Saiki and Miku's MC times are a bit emotional, especially when they introduce their new song "About Us". This is an important moment in Band-Maid's history, a large part of what bonds them together.

Cool. Cool cool cool. Albert should commit the name "Akane Hirose" (廣瀬 茜) to memory. She's a beast on drums. A gorilla, some would say.
