The HR assistant role is an entry-level position in the human resource department. They perform administrative tasks for the smooth functioning of the HR department and act as a communication interface between employees and management. To take on this role, either move up from a junior role, such as an HR intern or start your career in HR after you complete your undergraduate degree or obtain a credible certification.
A few of the HR assistant's responsibilities include maintaining employee records, payroll and cheque distribution, new employee orientation, administrative and clerical duties, HR record audits, event handling, and other data entry-related administrative tasks.
