Amy is so sweet with Andy! When he got up from the chair and she turned to talk to you, she was like "oh, bye!" And when he wanted room on the chair she said "oh, sorry" and carried on. You can tell they're really comfortable with each other as siblings, I love it. {:

Someone else mentioned Iron and I would also agree with that. I have chronic low iron due to Lupus and I literally bruise all over my body and often have zero clue where they even came from. They generally do not hurt at all and I usually dont even notice them. My husband will say "Oh my God what did you do??" and Im like what? Oh, no clue! Iron poor blood causing very easy bruising. Be careful with supplements though. They can cause terrible constipation which from watching your vlogs Im certain you dont need to be dealing with either!

If the feeling of hand lotion of his hands wouldn't annoy Andy, maybe that would be a good idea? The fragrance may deter him from putting his fingers in his mouth and if not, at least it helps them from getting too dry and sore. (An educated guess rather than one from experience so apologies if that's a bad suggestion)

You can buy hand warmers? Normally for the first use you just click a metal disk inside it and it will heat up but then you have to boil it for a few mins in a towel. You can just place them in his pockets and it will keep his hands warm

His iron levels may be low if his diet isn't nutritionally complete and he's bruising like that. A simple bump could cause him to bruise like that. Maybe get labs checked?? I know I bruised like that when I was anemic, and it got to be severe before they figured it out and put me on the right type of iron. The other marks.. is it possible it's self-injurious? Or even another child at school grabbing at him?

I’ve a problem even wearing a jacket in the cold, explains why I’m sick now. Could Andy maybe not want to wear gloves because he won’t be able to use the DS? I know if I have my iPad with me I won’t wear gloves, same as people who use phones. You could try ones without the fingertips for gloves, don’t know if he would still want to use them though.

They are like squeezable heat patches that you warm your hands on for keeping them flexible for catching cricket balls when you are stood around all day. You can put them in him pockets? Couple of questions...Does the respite care decide when and how often he can come or do you? How long has he been going to respite and how in the world did you get him to do it? That seems impossible! Getting him to spend the night without Anna or even just going, sounds like a challenge based on what we see him refuse in other areas. Is it something you have to pay for and who is the staff and their qualifications? Did you ever see my question about the ATM machine?
@kevinchapmanvlog
6 жыл бұрын
+Traci G. Social services decide how often he goes, and the respite place themselves decide when. The first time he went it was a bit of a battle, but now it’s just routine for him once a month. He’s been going about a year. Social services set it up. I don’t remember a question about an atm.

Here there is more help for Austic kids. Maybe social services that gave you Respite will do the same . One hour in the morning to get ready for school and one hour at evening to get ready for bed. A trained worker comes to your house to do this. In school a shadow person or teachers aid is supplied for one on one with him.

Also (I should learn to comment after the video), is the respite care an autism place or mixed? My sister has respite with a heart defect (among a few other things), but there's a range of illnesses there which I would say has helped with her mixing, making friends and understanding that she isn't alone or odd or anything like that.

Will he only drink pops?since he drinks soda? Or will he drink juice or milk so you guys could replace intake with like boost or ensure dairy ir clear ensure of boost that juice... If not do you guys replace feeding with a feeding tube? I dont remember seeing one in previous videos but maybe overlooked it... because poor nutrion can cause difancy cause easy bruisin.. Could be truly acsdent brusing but defentily keep down doted down when bruises are comeing. To make sure brusing alot can be dangrous better look into it to be on safe side. Because could be his platlet acount being low or iron. Their ALOT reason that can cause this. but safer to find out get checked verse taking chance to make sure it is not anything serious if it is platlets or iron can get dangrous.. But since he struggle get him eat alot things getting him checked for calcium/ vitamin D.. Iron/ cholesterol/ complete blood count. complet blood count and iron and vitamin K woul be most concerning. But if you would have to do labs. You myswell talk to dr to run the magority of stuff that could be the more basic with Iron and vitamin defiancy... Because can make BIG difrance

Ask at your school they can point you in the right direction your local council may have some info too. some councils will pay for it but not all off over night care .I have a few staff from my boys special needs school that will take my younger son for a few hours a week(my older son is a bit of a handful so I can't get restspite care for him). we pay for the restspite from our son's DLA it works out to around £10 an hour but it gets him out of the house and he enjoys time away from his big Bro as they tend to clash with each other if around one another for too long.
