As long as you're happy with it that's all that matters, good fun for the kids and family! Good Video for the novice thinking about buying a used Pool Table, always remember "You get what you Pay for". I would have had the rubber replaced on the cushions regardless of how well they played, with the table being 50 years old you don't know when or if the rubber was ever replaced and it will eventually go bad and you will have dead spots in the cushions where the balls don't bounce off of it properly!! I have over 50 years experience with playing Pool and dealing with Pool Tables and I'm rated an "8" at my local Pool Room.

I got a 7 foot All-tech Industries table for free so I put Simonas 860 on the single slate and I went from a 3 to a 5 in 2 sessions before going to Vegas in Aug 2023. Ain't no such thing as a free puppy. $700 after felt and it rolls perfectly straight.

ive just bought a 2nd hand table, the table was 25ish years old, only a small 6ft one, flat and frame is great, we took the slate out before moving it, wasn't too bad only about an inch thick, my self and dad moved that, your lucky if yours was 3 in 3 sections. Ive had to recover it, some great vids on how to do that online, deffo worth giving it a go your self as much cheaper, the fabric cost me £45 ($53) Ive just got to level it out now its off by a couple of CM (at most) very very slight roll to top corner. we've also had to replace the coin mech as it doesnt take the new coins.

Glad you were able to find one that worked out for you. I think it would be cool to have the coin operated part. Did it come out of a pub? I too had looked at just doing the felt myself, but man, I'm glad I didn't. Don't think I would have had the patience.

Yes you got a real bargain at $300. But how much was it really in total by the time you paid Howard to reassemble it? Plus the wait to actually have it playable again. Loved the video.

Yeah, it was a bit of a hassle from beginning to end. To answer your questions, I gave my buddy who provided the truck, trailer, and manpower about $300. Howard was about $1k. So in the end it was over $1,500. I still think it was worth it, because we got a solid nice table.

I got my pool table for $1000 and was gonna pay professional to install it for $900 but after watching your video I gained confidence to DIY it. And dang everything went nice and smooth.

What kind of cloth did you put on? Although I love pool, I could never deal with all that. Even a 6-foot table is too heavy. I have an old 3 x 4 bumper pool table that needs rehab--that will be my next DIY project.

Wished I could tell you exactly the cloth type. Repair guy showed up, pulled out a sample book, and we pointed at the one we liked. Good luck with the DIY part. After looking at what it would have taken here, I said no way to myself.

I live in the UK and look on marketplace regularly. You see Pool and Snooker tables for sale but I've seen people giving them away! I mean, not many people can dismantle, move and reassemble a Snooker table, let alone have space for it.

True that. We were lucky enough for the space, and I was too dumb to know otherwise about what it would take to do the disassembly and reassembly. Still, in the end it worked out. Hope you can fine a Snooker table that will work for you. Good luck.
