Sam always seems to have been under appreciated from a sponsor point of view, even back in the day when he left NS I felt he should’ve had a much bigger list of industry sponsors! So glad to see him being able to do what he wants and not being forced to ride the e-bikes to maintain a bike sponsor!

Sam's a real loony, his vids are original and inventive and he is just hugely engaging on screen (you cant put a price on that), Well done Sam you deserve all this success. I really enjoy his vids, his most bonkers recently was riding with a para motor on his back with an uncaged prop. As a pilot I know just how bloody dangerous prop blades are. He is the dogs bollocks. !!!

I mean, I don't think anybody saw Sam and wanted to buy a Haibike... They saw Sam and wanted some Pilgrips. Signing with Canyon is a farrrrr better fit.

Yeah absolutely Sam has been well under appreciated given his achievements in the sport and his ability to entertain. I still remember myself being totally buffled when he said in a video that Magura dropped the sponsorship. Madness

@@dermowatts7260 I started using them as well because of Sam, but I'm not going to all of a sudden stop using my $500 set of brakes because they dropped him. They are a really good set of brakes after all.

from my customer's point of view I have gotten very numb to all the sponsorships. Obviously every athlete takes the best deal available to them- and since the bikes are fundamentally pretty similar from brand to brand, the other factors of the deal are probably more important to them- so I don't think there is any usable information for my own purchase decisions in there. On top of that the athletes never get a stock bike- wheels, suspension, handlebars, cranks, saddle and so on are most often provided by different sponsors so I don't even see the same product in action I would get in the store.

I would’ve loved to see Sam back on an NS decade complete with neon paint. That’s the NS and Sam Pilgrim I remember, such an iconic combo. Obviously NS doesn’t have the quality of mountain bikes that Canyon does though.

Sam is one heck of a talented rider and deserves to be riding for a brand like Canyon. Never been a fan of Hai-bike as a brand, and it almost seemed odd to have a rider like Sam riding for them. No limit to where he can go with Canyon.

It's awesome to see Sam on Canyon, and well deserved, but the looming question for me when it comes to UK riders is how the hell Tom Isted still doesn't have a bike sponsor at all... He's doing so well at the highest level of international slopestyle, it's just bizarre to me.

Thankfully with his initial move e-biking and the current move to canyon the timing for both seems to be so well coordinated by Sam. A much better brand goal alignment for him and canyon though.
